On Saturday, April 25, 2026, I, Deputy Elson Odle #2114, was dispatched to [900 BLOCK] Quinlan Drive in response to a report of a person with a gun.
Upon arrival, I met with Ms. [VICTIM #1], who appeared to have locked herself in her home. She informed me that Mr. Cory Thomas had walked up to her porch and sat down in a chair next to her. While he was sitting there, she noticed that he had urinated on himself and assumed he might have had a seizure. Ms. [VICTIM #1] then stated that Mr. Thomas got up, started yelling at her, and began kicking her front window. She called 911, and before retreating into her home, Mr. Thomas attempted to take her cell phone. Feeling scared, Ms. [VICTIM #1] retrieved her gun and was prepared to use it to defend herself.
After speaking with Ms. [VICTIM #1], I approached Mr. Thomas, who seemed as though he wanted to flee the scene. I informed him that he was not in any trouble at that moment, but I needed to understand what was happening and whether he required medical attention. Mr. Thomas indicated that he was having difficulty breathing but appeared confused about the situation. I asked him if he needed an ambulance, and he agreed.
While in the ambulance, he appeared confused about where to sit. After the paramedics asked him multiple times to lay on the stretcher or in the seat, he got up and attempted to walk out of the ambulance while still wearing the blood pressure cuff on his arm. At this point, he was arrested and transported to the Bibb County Jail.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] was provided with a case card containing the case number for her records regarding this incident.
