On 3-23-26, I Sgt Jones responded to [6100 BLOCK] in reference to an aggravated assault.
Upon my arrival contact was made with [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2]. Both stated that they had issues with their neighbor coming into their backyard and pointing a weapon at them. They stated that Debrah Skoda walked to the rear of their home and looked through the kitchen window. [VICTIM #1] stated that once he made eye contact with Skoda she pointed a black pistol at him and stated that she said “I will kill you”. [VICTIM #1] stated that he immediately went and retrieved his firearm at this time.
He stated that his wife [VICTIM #2], was outside when the incident happened and she also saw the firearm, and stated that she was threatened as well. [VICTIM #2] stated that when she ran inside of the home, Skoda came up to their side door and attempted to open it but couldn’t because it was locked. [VICTIM #1] stated that shortly after, Skoda ran back to her home at [6100 BLOCK] Taylor Dr.
Myself and Dep Hubbard attempted to make contact with Ms Skoda at this time but had no success. Later on in the shift Cpl Hutchings responded to this location in reference to Skoda returning to property this time with the firearm in hand. She was able to get into her 1999 Toyota Corolla (GA Tag [REDACTED]). Cpl Hutchings attempted to perform a traffic stop on the vehicle but Skoda refused to stop thus initiating a vehicle pursuit.
I was able to assist Cpl Hutchings with the pursuit which spanned from Houston Rd and Allen Rd in Bibb County, southbound into Houston County, Ga. The pursuit ended at the intersection of Industrial Hwy and Houston Lake Rd after I was able to perform a (Precision Immobilization Technique) P.I.T. to the rear passenger side of the of Skoda’s vehicle causing her to spin out. Skoda exited the through the passenger side door and attempted to walk away from deputies but was apprehended.
A search incident to a arrest was done on the vehicle and which a black handgun was found under the passenger seat of the vehicle. Deputies discovered that the handgun was a BB gun and was not loaded. Capt Garrison did respond to the scene along with Georgia State Patrol to document any damages to Bibb County vehicles. The BB gun was collected and turned into the Bibb County Crime lab as evidence.
Skoda was transported to Bibb County LEC on charges of 2 Counts of Aggravated Assault (O.C.G.A 16-5-21) and 1 count of Fleeing and Eluding Police (O.C.G.A 40-6-395)
