On Tuesday November 22, 2022 at 2028 hours dispatch alerted district two deputies to a carjacking at [100 BLOCK] Linstead Drive.

Upon arrival at this location I, Deputy Irwin, made contact with the female and heard someone hooting and whistling down the road. I asked the female if she was the victim and who was calling from down the road. She said she was not the victim and that was probably the guy “[VICTIM #1]” who was beat and car got stolen. The female said he actually stays around on Beacham Ct. I then began to see a male come into view. I told him to continue onto our vehicles. The male was in boxers and slippers and had a towel wrapped around his shoulders, there was blood on the left side of his head. The ambulance was notified to come on in.

The victim, [VICTIM #1], stated that the incident happened over at Macon Trailer Park, [5500 BLOCK] Hawkinsville Road. I asked if any shots had been fired because we had a call for that prior to this going out. [VICTIM #1] said yes they shot at him. I had dispatch associate calls appropriately. [VICTIM #1] stated that he had been down at the last trailer on the right all day working on a red vehicle with someone named Devon. He stated that they left and went to gets parts and came back and continued to work but then Devon got mad and all 4 of the guys there surrounded him and beat him, shot at him and then dropped him off here then hit him with the pistol again.

I asked what led to the change in attitude and [VICTIM #1] said they think he was stealing batteries. I asked who the 4 men were and he named Devon and “Devon’s brother”, Nate and someone else he could not remember. Later he added that Brock hit him with an axe in the back of the head. He had no injury to the back of his head, only the left side where he was hit with the pistol.

[VICTIM #1] stated that Nate shot at him inside the trailer then Devon was shooting at him outside before making him get in his own 2001 Chevy Suburban with a Man’s Performance drive out tag and driving him to Allen Road at Linstead Drive where they made him strip down. [VICTIM #1] stated they wanted him to strip completely naked or they were going to shoot him but he kept his boxers. They also threatened to kill him if he called the police but he did not have a phone (iphone 11 black in color in a blue case) as it was in the his vehicle they stole along with his book bag containing $1000. [VICTIM #1] did not have a tag or VIN so that we could enter the vehicle as stolen at this time. [VICTIM #1] gave Devon’s name as Devon Cornicane and said he is kind of heavyset with black hair and acne on his face. Upon being given this description and checking the jail file, I found the suspect is Devan Cormican.

Inv. Fields and Lt. Garrison both arrived on scene. Nathan Rouse “Nate” was located at lot [REDACTED]. None of [VICTIM #1]’s property was on scene. Devan has no known brother, definitely not one that was there. Broderick Raines “Brock” was there also but unknown role. Devan has been crashing at this location as necessary and has been there since last night. Devan and [VICTIM #1] had been together most of the day and did leave and go somewhere and returned together before this incident took place. Nate stated he did have suspicions [VICTIM #1] was stealing batteries. Also there was The firearm Nate used was a Taurus .38 special serial#LP72511 which was no showing stolen.

At 2020 hours a [REDACTED] from the same trailer park called in the shots fired call stating that the shots were coming from the end of the trailer park at a white SUV.
