On the report date, I, Deputy P.F. Smith was dispatched to the incident location on a vehicle hit and run accident.

Upon arrival, this Deputy made contact with Greene, Kentavious [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who stated that he was operating a black 2002 Honda Accord south bound on Spring Street, travelling towards Riverside Drive, and was in the process of turning into the Chevron Gas station, when he struck a white in color Ford F150 pick-up truck. The accident caused significant damage to the Honda Accord. Greene stated that he made contact with the driver, who he described as a black male with dreads, who took Greene’s cell phone number and then left the scene. Greene stated that the truck was bearing a GA tag [REDACTED].

This Deputy observed that the Honda vehicle did not have a GA tag affixed to it. Greene stated that he had just purchased the vehicle a couple of hours ago and produced a GA title to that fact. This Deputy asked Greene for proof of insurance, and Greene stated that he had not purchased insurance for the vehicle yet.

This Deputy checked the tag number that Greene had for the Ford Truck. This vehicle came back registered to Gales, Gavin Caleb [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. This Deputy showed Greene the photograph on file for Gales, and Greene stated that this was the person who was operating the Ford truck. This Deputy checked Gales through GCIC/NCIC, which indicated that Gales GA driver’s license was suspended December 2025 for serious violations under 21.

After approximately 15-20 minutes on scene, Greene received a phone call on his cell phone, the caller being the grandmother of Gales. She stated that she lived in Gray GA and would be bringing Gales back to the accident scene.

Upon arrival, Gale stated that he was travelling East bound on Riverside Dr, making a left hand turn on a green arrow. As he approached the Chevron gas station, a vehicle turned into the parking lot off of Spring Street, then suddenly the black Honda Accord also turned immediately behind the first car. Gale stated that he was unable to avoid the collision, striking the Honda Accord’s front end with the right front bumper of the Ford Truck. Gale stated that he became scared when Greene told him that he did not have insurance, and he left the scene.

Greene was issued citations for failure to yield right of way and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Gale was issued citations for leaving the scene of an accident and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.

The Honda had extensive damage, and Lester’s Towing impounded the vehicle.

Both drivers were issued case numbers for the accident, with Greene being found to be at fault.

Gale was arrested and transported to the LEC and booked in without further incident.
