On September 16th, 2024 I Sgt. Stokes responded to a person shot at [1400 BLOCK] Dent Street within Macon-Bibb County Georgia.

Upon arrival I was met by Mr. Zanted Blount in the driveway of the residence. He appeared to be intoxicated and was not able to clearly provide information about what was going on at the location.

A few minutes later Ms. [WITNESS #1] (Zanted Blounts’ sister) came out and started telling what had happened. She advised her boyfriend Mr. [VICTIM #1] came to the house on Dent Street to pick up Ms. [WITNESS #1], a few minutes after he arrived her brother Zanted Blount and her cousin Tyshawn Pearson jumped on [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #2] went to break up the altercation, Afterward Tyshawn shot him. [VICTIM #1] left the scene prior to my arrival.

[VICTIM #2] was transported to the hospital by his sister Ms. [REDACTED], she pulled up to the scene just a few minutes after the shooting. [REDACTED] is Tyshawn’s mother. This incident took place at [REDACTED]s house, she is the mother of [VICTIM #2], [REDACTED], and [REDACTED]. Ms. [REDACTED] is the grandmother of Tyshawn Pearson and Zanted Blount. When I talked to Mr. [VICTIM #2] at the hospital he advised that he did not want to prosecute his nephew.

I canvassed the scene and could not find any items of evidence to include a cartridge case or projectile damage. Investigator Shockley responded and will be following up in this investigation although the victim has advised that he does not want to prosecute at this time.
