On April 26, 2026 I Deputy Crane was dispatched to [4100 BLOCK] Lions Pl Apt [REDACTED] in reference to an aggravated assault.

Upon arrival, I met with one of the victims, Mr. [VICTIM #1] who is a minor (17) stated that he was upstairs with his female friend, Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who is also a minor (17) with a baby, in the area near the home, when he saw the father of her child, Mr. Jaden Bonner.

Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that he had seen Mr. Bonner make eye contact with Ms. [REDACTED] and then hesitated before taking a step back and firing multiple rounds. Mr. [VICTIM #1] was grazed by a bullet in the center of his stomach. Mr. [VICTIM #1] was checked out by EMS personnel and transported to Atrium Hospital for further care.

At the time of the shooting, Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] actively had her child in her arms and her friend Ms. [VICTIM #2] was nearby as well. In addition to that one of the rounds that Mr. Bonner fired off went into the downstairs apartment, being [REDACTED], which had Ms. [VICTIM #3], Mr. [VICTIM #4], and their 10-month-old child in the home.

Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that this was not the first time that Mr. Bonner committed an aggravated with her and her baby present. She stated that on April 6, 2026, at [2600 BLOCK] Reynolds, where her grandmother lives, he came and shot at her home as well. Case #2026-28907. As well as an incident where Mr. Bonner strangled Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] back in February.

I spoke with the security officer at the complex, Mr. [WITNESS #1], who stated that had seen the suspect Mr. Bonner, and he was wearing a red jacket, went up to the I building and fired off what he believed to be 5 shots. Then he stated he ran into the wooded area behind the apartment complex and then exited.

Based on the scene, it was believed to be 7 rounds fired based on the number of holes on the outside of the home, and there were 7 shell casings recovered from the scene, and bullet fragments as well. The shell casings and bullets will be entered into the crime lab.

At the time of arrival, the suspect, Mr. Jaden Bonner, was not present, but Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was certain that it was him who had committed the aggravated assault. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated the suspect could possibly be at [3300 BLOCK] Club drive.

Investigator Robach was notified of this incident. No further information at this time. Warrants Will be taken out on Mr. Bonner.
