On Thursday July 2, 2026, at approximately 1754 hours, I responded to the area of 2285 Second Street in reference to a fight.
Upon my arrival I made contact with the complainant, April Knight, who informed me that her neighbor, Jerrold Pugh, had spit in her face. April stated she was standing at the intersection of Second Street and Grant Chapel Alley where she met her friend [REDACTED], when she was approached by Jerrold, who was walking toward her on Second Street. April stated Jerrold was angry, cursing her, and accusing her and [REDACTED] of coming out of his house at [2200 BLOCK] Grant Chapel Alley.
April stated Jerrold began “threatening her” and got in her face causing [REDACTED] to step in and break it up. April stated [REDACTED] attempted to deescalate the situation but was not successful and it resulted in Jerrold spitting in her face. April stated she chased him with a pocketknife/razor blade, that she had in her possession, but did not cut him. April threatened that she would stab him if he continued messing with her.
April stated her interactions with Jerrold occur often and she is tired of it. April kept threatening to kill him if I did not do anything about him spitting on her and threatened to have her sons come and beat and kill Jerrold. April kept making those threats and stated she was en route to get her son to beat him up prior to my arrival.
April stated [REDACTED] left the area because he did not want to be involved.
I then relocated to [2200 BLOCK] Grant Chapel Alley where I contacted Jerrold who was inside.
Jerrold stated he was walking from Second Street to Grant Chapel Alley where he was attempting to find “something to smoke” from a friend’s house. Jerrold stated he saw April and [REDACTED] coming out of his residence. Jerrold stated he approached them and began cursing April out. Jerrold stated he called her several “b*tches” and told her to stop going in his house. Jerrold stated at some point during the argument, April chased him with a machete that he believed [REDACTED] took from the scene. Jerrold stated he ran away from her until she stopped chasing him. Jerrold denies spitting in April’s face during the argument.
Jerrold stated he is not friends with April and has only had one prior run in with her where law enforcement was called as well. Jerrold stated he believes April likes him and she is crazy. Jerrold stated he gets really upset when he has nothing to smoke. Jerrold and April provided me with their identification information and were compliant with my investigation.
April continued threatening to cause harm to Jerrold after my departure so it was determined that she be arrested for terroristic threats, and aggravated assault since she did, while actively engaged in an argument with Jerrold, chase him with a pocketknife/blade with the intent to cause harm, death, or serious bodily injury.
Jerrold was arrested per testimonial evidence since he did, while actively engaged in an argument with April about suspected criminal trespass, spit in her face resulting in April attempting to harm him and threatening to kill him.
During Jerrold’s arrest, Jerrold stated April did cut him on his hand and back with the pocketknife but did not initially state that upon my arrival, nor did he show me any injuries other than a dab of dried-up blood on his hand. Earlier in the interaction, Jerrold only stated he was chased until April stopped chasing him.
Both parties were transported to the Bibb County LEC and turned over to the jail staff without incident.
