On August 15, 2025, I, Corporal Grooms, was dispatched to the intersection of Grenada Terrace and Houston Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance. The caller reported to check for a black female and black male fighting. The male will not give the female her keys. The caller believed the incident had been going on for over 30 mins.
Upon checking the area, I located a 2013 Toyota Venza Toyota gray in color vehicle displaying [REDACTED] registered to a [REDACTED] in the roadway of W Grenada Terrace. There was a female subject in the driver’s side seat of the Toyota vehicle who identified herself as Ms. [VICTIM #1].
Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated she did not want to see Mr. Jarrell Jackson go to jail because he recently got out of prison. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated Law Enforcement was called at her residence at Overlook Gardens ([1400 BLOCK] Gray Hwy Apt [REDACTED]). Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated she was driving Mr. Jackson home because she did not want Mr. Jackson to go to jail.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated she had to drop her sister off at gas station on the East side because Mr. Jackson was acting like he was going to hit them. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated when she was driving on W Grenada Terrace, Mr. Jackson had turned off the Toyota vehicle without the vehicle being parked. He grabbed the keys that were in the driver’s side door holder compartment taking possession of the keys. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated Mr. Jackson had climbed over from the passenger seat to the driver’s seat. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated she had opened the driver’s side door when Mr. Jackson started pulling her hair and punching her. Ms. [VICTIM #1] showed me her blue in color prescription glasses with the handles broken from the frame.
The 2013 Toyota Venza gray in color vehicle was towed to M&M Towing for safe keeping.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] was provided with an informational brochure. She was advised to contact the Crisis Line and Safe House in reference to obtaining a restraining order against Mr. Jarrell Jackson.
A warrant was sought for Mr. Jarrell Jackson in reference to Theft by Taking, Simple Battery, and Criminal Trespass Property Damage.
