On August 8th, 2025, this unit was dispatched to the Atrium Hospital in reference to a non-domestic dispute that had been called in to the 911 Center by Mrs. [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] had informed the 911 operator that she was with four children inside the main hospital hiding because she feared for the safety of the kids.
Upon arrival, I deputy A. Diaz and deputy P. Smith made contact with Mrs. [VICTIM #1] who stated that she was at her residence located at [2700 BLOCK] Gwinnett Drive in Macon Georgia with her two grandkids and her two kids, along with her older daughter, [REDACTED]. [VICTIM #1] said that [REDACTED] had invited her boyfriend who resides in the area of Stone Mountain to come visit against her will as she is the person on lease for this property. [VICTIM #1] added that the boyfriend, Justin Smith has an open active case out of Clayton County for hitting [REDACTED] who is pregnant.
According to [VICTIM #1], [JUSTIN] Smith arrived at the home and became acting weird and after exiting the bathroom he looked at her with an angry face and puffed his chest out. Justin Smith then went into the bedroom and [VICTIM #1] said that she felt threatened by his behavior, so she decided to send him a text asking him to leave the home as he was no longer welcome, but Justin came out of the room, walked passed her towards the door and smashed the entry door glass storm door in front of the kids. [VICTIM #1] said that she then ran to the back of the home, attempting to exit the home via the back door, with all four kids. Justin Smith then threw a full water bottle at her but hit [REDACTED BY AGENCY], [VICTIM #1]’s seven-year-old boy in the forehead instead. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had an injury to his forehead, a red bump from the impact. This was documented with images added by Deputy: P. Smith to a supplemental report filed under this case number by him.
When asked who was present during the damaging of the door and the water bottle incident, [VICTIM #1] stated that all of the kids witnessed it. This officer asked each individual minor what they had seen, and they all described the incident as [VICTIM #1]. this officer asked for Mrs. [VICTIM #1] to fill out a witness statement and she did so. Such statement is attached to this report. It is my observation that the children were jumpy and afraid, they kept telling their Mom when a car parked near us while I was conducting the interview.
Deputy P. Smith and I responded to the home and documented the damage done to the front door. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] was provided a pamphlet with information to a safe house and was also informed on how to file with the courts for protective order. The Suspect, Justin Smith had already left the scene with [REDACTED] and was not located. Warrants were filed via Gloud Gavel and signed by Judge Sinclair for Justin Smith who is at large.
