On Friday, September 5, 2025, at 1507 hours the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office E911 Center received a call for a structure fire at [1300 BLOCK] Burton Avenue Macon, GA 31204. A full alarm emergency assignment (2 Engines, 2 Ladder Trucks, 1 Rescue, 1 Battalion Chief) from the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department was dispatched to the address. The Fire Department arrived on-scene and found the home not to be on fire.

Upon their investigation of the scene, they found that 21-year-old Kaitlyn Briana Pipkins used ChatGPT to create an AI generated photograph of the home on fire that she then sent to her mother, [WITNESS #1], who was at the home. [WITNESS #1], who was on the phone with her mother, began evacuating everyone from the home and had her mother [REDACTED] call 911. At approximately 1518 I, Investigator Kyle R. Murray, was requested to respond to this location in reference to the situation. Upon arrival I made contact with Battalion Chief [REDACTED], who gave me a brief overview of the situation.

I then met with Kaitlyn Pipkins, who told me what she had done. Once it was determined that Kaitlyn Pipkins had committed “Unlawful Conduct during a 911 Call” she was Mirandized and questioned on what occurred. Kaitlyn Pipkins stated that she took a picture she had of the home and uploaded it into the ChatGPT application and had it make the house look like it was on fire. She stated that she was just joking with her mother by sending her the picture. Kaitlyn Pipkins was advised of the seriousness of what she did and that she would be placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Conduct During a 911 Call. Kaitlyn Pipkins was transported to the Bibb County LEC by BSO PT765.
