On May 5, 2026 I, Deputy Crane was dispatched to 3535 Bloomfield Rd in reference to a carjacking.
Upon arrival, I met the victim, [VICTIM #1]. He stated that he was out sitting in his vehicle and saw a group of 5 young males who he had recognized. He stated that he offered to give the group of boys a ride to the store, and then to an address near Bloomfield Rd at a house near [1100 BLOCK] Bloomfield Rd. The boys went to the Citgo gas station on Rocky Creek, and three of them got out to grab honey buns.
[VICTIM #1] stopped the vehicle, and that’s when he stated that all of the boys in the vehicle had pulled a gun on him, and one had hit him in the back of the head with the gun, before telling him they were going to shoot and kill him.
[VICTIM #1] stated that from talking to the boys, he found out that they go to Central High School and play ball. [VICTIM #1] stated that his vehicle was a Black Infinity Q80 with tint. Tag number unknown.
I took [VICTIM #1] to his home, and his vehicle was found in the area around Hightower Road by other deputies responded to the call.
I came to the area and assisted in searching for suspects, and that’s where we found Mr. Kaleb Ashley, in the wooded area of C st.
Mr. Ashley’s mom was contacted, and she stated that her son typically hangs out with the boys at [2600 BLOCK] C st, by the names of Mr. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Mr. [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. The boys were temporarily detained while details were being explained by Mr. Ashley. The brothers were released once it was determined they had no involvement.
When I took [VICTIM #1] home, I also took him to get his shoes that he had left in the road. [VICTIM #1] got his items, and it was a red sweater, which he stated belonged to one of the suspects. While on scene, the mother of the [REDACTED BY AGENCY] brothers, [REDACTED], stated that she recognized the sweater and it belonged to which was a [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
[VICTIM #1] was able to locate his keys and recover the vehicle to take it home.
Mr. Ashley was detained and taken into custody to be transported to 111 Third to speak with Investigator Munguia.

GRAND JURY RETURNS INDICTMENT — 4 COUNTS FILED AGAINST KALEB JAMAR SLOCUMB AND CO-DEFENDANT JAMARIAN KEANDRE BROWN
What this means: A Bibb County grand jury returned a true bill of indictment on July 29, 2026, formally charging Kaleb Jamar Slocumb and co-defendant Jamarian Keandre Brown with four felony counts stemming from an incident that allegedly occurred on or about May 5, 2026. The indictment is filed under Case No. 26CR86887 in Bibb County Superior Court. A grand jury returning a “true bill” means the jurors reviewed the evidence and agreed there was enough to formally charge both defendants and send the case to trial court.
Count 1 charges Kaleb Jamar Slocumb and Jamarian Keandre Brown with Armed Robbery under O.C.G.A. 16-8-41. The two are accused of taking a 2016 Infinity QX80, the property of the victim, by use of a handgun — a device having the appearance of an offensive weapon — with the intent to commit a theft.
Count 2 charges both defendants with Hijacking a Motor Vehicle under O.C.G.A. 16-5-44.1. They are accused of unlawfully obtaining that same 2016 Infinity QX80 from the immediate presence of the victim by intimidation while in possession of a firearm.
Count 3 charges both defendants with Criminal Damage to Property in the Second Degree under O.C.G.A. 16-7-23. They are accused of intentionally damaging the 2016 Infinity QX80 — valued at more than $500 — by allegedly driving it recklessly and running it into the woods without the owner’s consent.
Count 4 charges both defendants with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony under O.C.G.A. 16-11-106. They are accused of unlawfully having a pistol on their person during the commission of the Armed Robbery described in Count 1.
