On May 17, 2026, I, Sgt. Lewis and Dep. Hughes responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a domestic dispute between a mother and son.

Upon my arrival I was able to see that the front door was open. It was reported that the suspect (Kwamaine Grant) had kicked in the door of his mother’s house. I then began to knock and announce with no reply. I then began to clear the house with Dep. Hughes. Once the house was cleared, we observed a female walking back up who appeared that she was distraught and terrified. At that time, I recognized the victim as [VICTIM #1]. I then assisted [VICTIM #1] into the house in order to calm her down. While speaking with [VICTIM #1] I could see she was physically and mentally distraught over the situation. Her body was shaking and she was all over the place.

[VICTIM #1] stated her son Kwamaine had come over to the house upset that she and her husband [WITNESS #1] had his child prior to Grants arrival. Grant was not able to keep his child as he did not have custodial rights for the child at the current time. When [VICTIM #1] was talking with Grant, she told him that the child was gone with [WITNESS #1] and that they were going home.

[VICTIM #1] then got a phone call from her father [WITNESS #2] who lives out of state. She stated that when she answered the phone Grant got upset as she was walking away in the house. [VICTIM #1] stated that Grant then slammed the door as she was making entry causing her to move out of the way so that she didn’t get hit. by the door. She stated that she began to yell and scream for Grant to leave the residence, but he refused and proceeded into the house. [VICTIM #1] then ran from home in fear of her life. She stated that Grant knew where all the firearms were in the house belonging to her husband and due to prior violence, she thought he may cause her harm.

I then spoke with [WITNESS #2] over the phone. He did confirm that he had called his daughter and her a commotion. He described it as if someone was actively breaking into the residence and that [VICTIM #1] was yelling for them to leave and get out. He further stated that [VICTIM #1] told him she was getting off the phone to call 911.

I then spoke with [WITNESS #1]. He stated that he was taking the grandchild back home to its mother. He stated that he had got a call from [WITNESS #2] stating that someone was breaking into the house and that [VICTIM #1] was yelling for help and trying to tell them to leave. At that point [WITNESS #1] called Lt. Inzar (acting OD) to advise him of the situation at his residence due to his county issued weapons being on scene.

While speaking with [WITNESS #1], Kwamaine Grant arrived back on scene. He then gave an account of him coming over to see his child. He stated that he was speaking with his mother when she got a phone call. Grant stated that he then walked into the house as his mother left and gathered some clothing and got a drink out of the refrigerator before leaving.

This altercation did take place in front of three minor children aged 10, 7, and 6. When I approached the kids who were in Grants vehicle I could see they were visibly shaken. I then made sure that they were ok, and they advised me that they had gotten scared during Grants outburst.

At that time Grant was taken into custody of his actions. The three minor children were left with [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1] until their mother could get them from Warner Robins.
