On 04/04/2026 at approximately 1241 hours, I, Sgt. George Witherspoon responded to 1924 Forsyth St. (Kwik Trip / Shell Gas ) in reference to a disorderly customer.
Upon arrival, I made contact with the store owner, Ms. [WITNESS #1], who reported that a female later identified as Latonya Denise Norman became irate after being informed her transaction was declined. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated that Norman began knocking over multiple items of merchandise from store counters and displays, causing a disturbance and disruption to normal business operations. Norman then exited the store prior to law enforcement’s arrival.
A short time later, Norman was located standing in front of L.H. Williams Elementary School, which is in proximity to the original scene. Norman matched the description provided and was positively identified as the individual involved in the incident.
Norman was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center (LEC) for processing.
