On 5/21/25 at 1044 hrs, I, Deputy J. Williams #2252 and Deputy C. Stubbs, responded to the area of 844 Pio Nono Ave, Macon, GA 31204 (Metro PCS) in reference to locating a suspect named Makiya Dixon involved in a Domestic Disturbance.
Ms. [WITNESS #1], the mother of Makiya, reported from the location of [2200 BLOCK] Robin Lynn Ct, that she and her daughter were involved in a domestic argument. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated Makiya became very irate and began tearing up items in the house. When Deputies arrived, Makiya had left the property. Shortly after the Deputies left, Makiya returned. Deputies were called back out to the location. Makiya was not there. Deputies were advised that Makiya was also carrying a small bottle of Mace.
Makiya’s name and date of birth were checked in GCIC with dispatch. Makiya returned to have valid warrants out of Bibb County, GA, for State Court Violation of Probation for Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threats and Acts x2, and Simple Assault. Deputy Stubbs began checking the area of Hillcrest Ave and Pio Nono Ave. A black female subject matching the given description, last seen wearing a brown tank top, blue jeans, multicolor shoes with straight hair, was noticed walking into 844 Pio Nono Ave (Metro PCS). Makiya noticed our patrol cars pull into the parking lot, and she walked out of the store. MetroPCS advised that they had asked Makiaya to leave the business prior to our arrival. We attempted to make contact with her. Makiya turned around and fled on foot while yelling “No”. Makiya was given a loud verbal command to stop running. She did not comply. We were advised Makiya carries mace with her and may use it.
Based on current information and Makiya’s previous history, I pulled my taser. During the foot pursuit, I deployed two probes, with only one probe making contact in the lower right side of her back. The second probe did not make contact. The deployment was not successful. The foot chase continued through an alley until the foot pursuit ended on Patterson St. Mikaya resisted being handcuffed by snatching both arms away and locking them under her body, while holding a can of mace. Handcuffs were placed on Makiya, and she was placed in an on-site patrol vehicle.
Makiya was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police, and Obstructing Law Enforcement Officers. She was transported to Bibb County Jail in my patrol car. Warrants Served.
