On January 19, 2025, at approximately 1638 hours, I, Sgt. George Witherspoon, responded to [2100 BLOCK] Ingleside Dr., Apt. [REDACTED] (The Abberley at Ingleside) in reference to a disturbance.

Upon arrival, I made contact with the victim, [VICTIM #1] (DOB: [REDACTED BY AGENCY]), who advised that Shondria Phelts and several associates had driven by the residence making verbal threats and gestures as if they intended to shoot at the apartment. The victim stated the subjects also made statements indicating she would not be allowed to sleep. The victim advised she did not engage with the individuals and instead contacted 911. The subjects left the area prior to my arrival. A statement was obtained and the scene was cleared.

At approximately 1758 hours, the victim reported the same individuals returned and followed through with their threats. The suspects forced entry by kicking in the front door of the apartment. The door and frame showed visible damage consistent with forced entry, including damage near the locking mechanism and frame. The victim stated she was actively on the phone with 911 seeking assistance when the suspects entered and immediately began assaulting her.

The victim advised a male suspect struck her first, knocking her to the ground. The male and female suspects then repeatedly struck her. The victim reported she was struck multiple times about the head and face with a screwdriver handle used as a blunt-force object, and also struck about the hands and feet, resulting in visible lacerations, significant swelling, and indentations to the skin. The victim had visible injuries and bleeding upon observation.

The victim stated Shondria Phelts (DOB: [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) removed her cell phone from her possession while she was speaking with 911 and disconnected the call. The suspects fled the residence with the phone. The phone was later powered off and discarded in the area of Spring St. and Riverside Dr. The victim advised she and Phelts were formerly friends and are current co-workers at a local retailer but recently had a falling out. The victim stated the incident stemmed from a prior physical confrontation.

Witnesses on scene declined to provide identifying information, stating they did not wish to be involved, but voluntarily provided available video evidence. Portions of the events surrounding this incident were reported to have been recorded.

Using vehicle descriptions and tag information obtained on scene, deputies utilized FLOCK camera data and assistance from the Strategic Information Center to track involved vehicles. Two suspects were located at [1100 BLOCK] Rocky Creek Road and apprehended. Through investigation, the suspects were identified as Shondria Phelts (DOB: [REDACTED BY AGENCY]), Tasha Porter-Fuller, and Malik Porter. EMS responded and provided medical care to the victim on scene. All suspects were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center for booking and detention.

During the course of the investigation, deputies learned that a possible motive for this incident stemmed from statements made by involved parties indicating that Shondria Phelts believed she had previously been assaulted by [VICTIM #1]. A records check showed no prior assault report filed by Phelts with law enforcement regarding [VICTIM #1]. This deputy reviewed video circulating online depicting a prior physical altercation between Phelts and [VICTIM #1]. The video appeared to show a mutual physical encounter, and no weapons were visible.

Based on victim statements, witness information, and investigative findings, deputies determined the prior altercation may have contributed to escalating tensions between the parties. Evidence indicates Phelts contacted associates and/or family members following that encounter, after which the reported home invasion and assault occurred.

This case remains under investigation.
