On 11-02-2025 I Deputy D. Jones responded to [500 BLOCK] Sapp Street in reference to a person cut.

Upon my arrival I was met by the victim Mr. [VICTIM #1] and the accused suspect Ms. Markessia Amica. At that time both subjects was separated and I asked him what happened and he stated they both were engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical. He stated that at some point during the altercation she grabbed a knife and swiped it at him and it caught his right upper arm. I looked at his arm and observed a small scratch. He was checked by medical officials on the scene and his injuries was non life threatening at this time.

I spoke with Ms. Amica and asked her what happened and she stated that she had just spoke with [VICTIM #1] on the phone and advised him they she was on her way home. Amica stated that when she arrived at home she noticed that [VICTIM #1] was in the car with another female. She stated she confronted both parties at that time. She stated when they got in the house [VICTIM #1] was gathering his things to leave. She stated they started arguing which then turned physical. She stated she was hit by several objects outside of the resident. She stated [VICTIM #1] started choking her and that’s when she grabbed the knife and swiped it at him to get him off of her.

The knife Amica used was collected as evidence and will be turned over to the crime lab. She was later transported to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Aggravated Assault and Criminal Damage to Property 2nd Degree.
