On November 6, 2025 at approximately 0029hrs I, Cpl. J. Holmes responded to [6200 BLOCK] Thomaston Rd #[REDACTED] in reference to a domestic disturbance.

Upon my arrival in the apartment complex, I was stopped by [VICTIM #1] in the parking lot near the leasing office. She stated that she was lying on the living room sofa and fiance, Markell Thomas attacked her. She stated that Thomas choked her and punched her multiple times. During the altercation, [VICTIM #1] stated that she did hit Thomas trying to get him off of her. She stated that she called for her daughter, [WITNESS #1] to help and she witnessed Thomas on top of her.

Thomas stated that he was previously arrested at this location for criminal trespass when [VICTIM #1] called to have him removed. He said that there was an altercation and that he defended himself, but would not elaborate on how he was defending himself or what he was defending himself against.

[WITNESS #1] stated that she could hear the altercation from her room and that her mother said “get off of me.” [VICTIM #1] called her to the living room where she and Thomas were. She stated that she went to the living room and saw Thomas and [VICTIM #1] tussling. [WITNESS #1] stated that she did not see Thomas hit [VICTIM #1] on the mouth, but saw that her mouth was bleeding.

[VICTIM #1] was given a crime victim rights pamphlet with the associated case number and reporting deputy’s information. She was also advised of protective services available through the Crisis Line & Safe House.

Thomas was arrested and transported to the Bibb L.E.C. charged with battery family violence.
