On Sat. 11-29-25 at 1415 hours, I (Sgt. Bruce) received a call to report to 1980 Gray Hwy. (Village Market Store) In reference to a black male attempting to steal beer, and got into a fight with the store staff.

I made contact with Mr. [WITNESS #1] (an employee), and he stated that Mr. Maurice Bonner had come into the store several times, attempting to walk out with beer without paying. When the store staff stopped Mr. Bonner, he became involved in a physical altercation with the staff and knocked several items off the shelves.

I made contact with Mr. Bonner outside of the store, and he refused to give me his name. I advised Mr. Bonner that he had to give me his name and that I would write him a banning notice and release him, but he refused. As I attempted to arrest Mr. Bonner, he struggled with me, attempting to break away from me to escape. I wrestled Mr. Bonner to the ground and handcuffed him. Mr. Bonner was banned from this location.

I transported Mr. Bonner to Bibb LEC, charging him with disorderly conduct and obstruction of an officer.
