Mrs. Winners, located at 2419 Pio Nono Ave in Macon, received a score of 66 points out of a possible 100 points during their 02/18/2026 inspection by the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Food employees shall clean their hands and exposed portions of their arms immediately before engaging in food preparation including working with exposed food, clean equipment and utensils, and unwrapped single-service and single-use articles P and: (i) After touching bare human body parts other than clean hands and clean, exposed arms; P (ii) After using the toilet room; P (iii) After caring for or handling service animals or aquatic animals; P (iv) After coughing, sneezing, using a handkerchief or disposable tissue, using tobacco products or electronic devices that simulate tobacco smoking, eating or drinking, except for drinking from a closed beverage container and the container is handled to prevent contamination of the hands;P (v) After handling soiled equipment or utensils; P (vi) During food preparation, as often as necessary to remove soil and contamination and to prevent cross contamination when changing tasks; P (vii) When switching between working with raw food and working with ready-to-eat food; P (viii) Before donning gloves to initiate a task that involves working with food; P and (ix) After engaging in other activities that contaminate the hands. P 2. All employees shall wash hands before leaving the restroom. All food employees leaving the restroom shall wash their hands again upon re-entering the food preparation area. EHS informed the PIC that hands are to be washed whenever switching tasks or when contamination occurs.

Inspector Notes: Observed male employee eating on the prep line in between cleaning and pulling items from the fryer. (k) Hygienic Practices. 1. Employees shall not use any form of tobacco products, or electronic devices that simulate tobacco smoking, while engaged in food preparation or service, nor while in areas used for equipment or utensil washing and storage, food preparation or food storage. Employees shall only use tobacco products or electronic devices that simulate tobacco smoking in approved designated areas. 2. Employees shall consume food only in approved designated areas separate from food preparation and serving areas, equipment or utensil areas and food storage areas. However, drinking from a single service beverage cup with a secure lid and straw that is handled to prevent contamination of the employee’s hands, the container, exposed food, clean equipment, utensils and linens, unwrapped single-service and single-use articles will be allowed. EHS informed PIC that no eating is to occur on the prep line/behind the register.

Inspector Notes: Observed two containers of MacNCheese in the warming cabinet below the required hot holding temperature. After speaking with staff, it was determined that the MacNCheese were new batches and they had not reached the final cook temperature before placing them in the warming cabinet. (e) Manufacturer Cooking Instructions. 1. Commercially packaged food that bears a manufacturer’s cooking instructions shall be cooked according to those instructions before use in ready-to-eat foods or offered in unpackaged form for human consumption, unless the manufacturer’s instructions specify that the food may be consumed without cooking.P 2. Food for which the manufacturer has provided information that it has not been processed to control pathogens, when used in ready-to-eat foods or offered for human consumption, shall be cooked according to a time and temperature appropriate for the food. EHS informed PIC to move the MAcNCheese back to the oven to cook.

EHS informed the PIC of the need to allow equipment to drain and air dry; facility is re-wash equipment.

(a) Good Repair and Proper Adjustment. 1. Equipment shall be maintained in a state of repair and condition that meets the requirements specified under subsections (1) and (2)of this Rule. 2. Equipment components such as doors, seals, hinges, fasteners, and kick plates shall be kept intact, tight, and adjusted in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications. 3. Cutting or piercing parts of can openers shall be kept sharp to minimize the creation of metal fragments that can contaminate food when the container is opened. Facility is to repair of replace the noted items.

(5) Maintenance and Operation. (a) Good Repair. All physical facilities shall be maintained in good repair. (b) Cleaning, Frequency and Restrictions. 1. The physical facilities shall be cleaned as often as necessary to keep them clean and by methods that prevent contamination of food products. 2. Except for cleaning that is necessary due to a spill or other accident, cleaning shall be done during periods when the least amount of food is exposed, such as after closing. EHS informed PIC to notify the owner of the required repairs/cleaning.

Lockers or other suitable facilities shall be located in a designated room or area where contamination of food, equipment, utensils, linens and single-service and single-use articles cannot occur. EHS informed the PIC of the need to create a designated area for personal belongings away from food prep and storage.

Inspector Notes: Observed door sweep needed at the side entrance by the drive thru window; weatherstripping needed between doors at 2 door entrance as gaps is greater than an inch. (m) Outer Openings, Protected. 1. Except as specified in paragraphs 2 through 5 of this subsection, outer openings of a food service establishment shall be protected against the entry of insects and rodents by: (i) Filling or closing holes and other gaps along floors, walls, and ceilings; (ii) Closed, tight-fitting windows; and (iii) Solid, self-closing, tight-fitting doors. 2. The requirements in paragraph 1 of this subsection does not apply if a food service establishment opens into a larger structure, such as a mall, airport, or office building, or into an attached structure, such as a porch, and the outer openings from the larger or attached structure are protected against the entry of insects and rodents. 3. Exterior doors used as exits need not be self-closing if they are: (i) Solid and tight-fitting; (ii) Designated for use only when an emergency exists, by the fire protection authority that has jurisdiction over the food establishment; and (iii) Limited-use so they are not used for entrance or exit from the building for purposes other than the designated emergency exit use. 4. Except as specified in paragraphs 2 and 5 of this subsection, if the windows or doors of a food service establishment, or of a larger structure within which a food service establishment is located, are kept open for ventilation or other purposes or a temporary food service establishment is not provided with windows and doors as specified under paragraph 1 of this subsection, the openings shall be protected against the entry of insects and rodents by: (i) 16 mesh to 1 inch (16 mesh to 25.4 mm) screens; (ii) Properly designed and installed air curtains to control flying insects; or (iii) Other effective means. 5. The requirement in paragraph 4 of this subsection does not apply if flying insects and other pests are absent due to the location of the establishment, the weather, or other limiting condition. EHS informed the PIC of the need to inform the owner of the need to install weather strips and plates at all door where light is present around/between door and frame.
