On October 18, 2025, at approximately 1820 hours, I, Deputy Morera, responded to a call at [2100 BLOCK] Third Ave regarding a Domestic Disturbance.
On my way to the scene, I stopped at the intersection of Third Ave. and Forest Ave by [VICTIM #1], who pulled into the middle of the intersection in her Gray Infiniti. She had her windows down, and I could see her face covered in blood. She was trying to tell me she was beaten up, and the person who did it was down the street where she was coming from. I began giving her instructions to drive her vehicle from the intersection across Forest Ave. to the opposite side of Third Ave from where the incident occurred. She was very lost and incoherent, almost driving in circles in the intersection before getting to the side of Third Ave, where I was directing her to pull over.
Upon her parking the vehicle, I opened her driver’s side door to speak with her and observe the severity of her injuries as I called for an ambulance. Ms [VICTIM #1] stated that Preston Williams beat her with a Large Stanley Cup, which was covered in blood, sitting in her middle console cup holder. He struck her with the cup multiple times on the head, causing lacerations to the face with severe bleeding. Ms [VICTIM #1] also stated she bit him in self-defense to try to get him to stop. She could give me little information about herself, only giving he name and date of birth. She was unable to answer what her phone number was or where she lived. There was blood on Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s chest shirt and the Driver’s side floorboard.
As soon as EMS arrived and got Ms. [VICTIM #1] into the Ambulance, I went across Forest Ave. to the other side of Third Ave. to detain Mr. Williams, who had also made a call to dispatch requesting an ambulance for a bite on his left fore arm. Mr. [WILLIAMS] had Blood on his White Shirt and white pants. The blood was not from his bite, as no blood or bruising was seen on his arm.
I told Mr. [WILLIAMS] I had to declare the scene safe for the ambulance to come and render him aid, and that I was not going to do so until I detained him. He was compliant. I called an ambulance and told him I was trying to figure out the details of what went on. He stated that he was riding with Ms. [VICTIM #1] to his house. She began cussing at him, then swinging the cup at him, and bit him. He stated Ms. [VICTIM #1] does not live with him and they are just friends. I advised him that his story did not line up with the minor injury he had and the serious injuries of Ms. [VICTIM #1]. I attempted to get Ring camera footage from a neighbor’s house and asked neighbors if anybody witnessed the incident, but there was no footage or witnesses.
I then notified Mr Williams that he was under arrest for Battery, and was transported to the Atrium Navicent Hospital for further treatment of his bite mark. While at Atrium Navicent, one of the nurses confirmed that Ms. [VICTIM #1] did have severe head trauma and was on the verge of being intubated. Due to the severity of Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s injuries and a significant apparent loss of her cognitive functions, I made Mr. Williams’ Battery charge an aggravated battery.
Upon completing treatment at Atrium/Navicent, Mr. Williams was transported to Bibb County LEC without incident.
