The following was taken from a press release distributed by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office on June 17, 2024:
BIBB COUNTY, Ga. – Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a vacant residence within the 1600 block of Pio Nono Lane just after 1:00 p.m., Monday afternoon. It was reported that human remains were found on the property.
The property owner reported the remains were found in a crawl space under the residence. Deputies arrived at the location and confirmed that the remains were human.
Investigators with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to investigate. Among the remains, a small Blue’s Clues t-shirt, and blue bandana pajama bottoms were discovered.
The identity of the remains discovered, and the length of time it has been inside of the crawl space has yet to be determined. The remains will be sent to the GBI Crime Lab to be examined to determine the identity of the person.
