On Thursday, 09-11-25 at 0846 hours, I (Sgt. Bruce) received a call to report to [1300 BLOCK] Sanford Ave. in reference to a missing person.
I spoke with Ms. [WITNESS #1], who stated that her sister [VICTIM #1] had been missing since about 1430 hours yesterday (09-10-25), and no one has been able to contact her by phone. I spoke with [VICTIM #1]’s roommate and cousin, [WITNESS #2], and he stated that [VICTIM #1] took him to work yesterday at about 1400 hours, and she was supposed to pick him up from work, but she never showed. Mr [WITNESS #2] called her several times, but ended up calling another person to take him home. Mr. [WITNESS #2] stated that once he got home, he noticed [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle (gold 2015 Honda Accord) parked in the parking lot of the apartment complex near her ex-boyfriend’s residence, Snapper Orlando Brundage ([1300 BLOCK] Sanford Ave).
Mr. [WITNESS #2] called Ms. [WITNESS #1] ([VICTIM #1]’s sister). Ms/ [WITNESS #1] discovered that [VICTIM #1]’s purse and other items were still in the vehicle, and stated that she would have never left her purse in the vehicle, and would have never parked it near her ex-boyfriend’s residence, because every since they broke up, he has been stalking [VICTIM #1].
Mr. Snapper Brundage drives a white Silverado Pickup truck, but it was not in the parking lot at the time of my investigation. I did attempt to make contact with Mr. Brundage, but no one came to the door. I called the management company of Sanford Ave. apartments and was able to have management send a maintenance man out to open the door to do a welfare check.
Cpl. Lattimore and Lt. Inzar were on the scene, and we made entry into the apartment and discovered Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s body inside, stuffed in a trash can. Lt. Coleman (Persons Investigator) came to the scene, and the crime lab was called to the scene. A lookout was put on Snapper Brundage. The scene was secured and turned over to the crime lab.
