On September 2, 2025 at approximately 0115hrs I, Cpl. J. Holmes responded to [5400 BLOCK] Bloomfield Rd in reference to a disorderly conduct with a firearm.
Upon my arrival, I spoke with [WITNESS #1] who was translating for [VICTIM #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that [VICTIM #1] is living with his son Steve Diaz and that Steve held a loaded revolver to [VICTIM #1]’s head while threatening to kill him. He stated that Steve drinks alcohol and does other drugs that cause him to become disorderly and threaten other with his gun. While speaking [WITNESS #1] and his brother [WITNESS #2], they advised Steve had the revolver in his pants. I stepped over to Steve and recovered the black Taurus Tracker .357Mag revolver from Steve’s pants, cleared the 7 rounds of ammunition from the weapon and locked it in a patrol car for the remainder of the investigation. While trying to speak with Steve, he appeared to intoxicated and saying that he did not do anything.
[WITNESS #2] and [WITNESS #1] stated that they witnessed the threats to kill [VICTIM #1].
The Taurus revolver will be turned into the BSO crime lab as evidence.
[VICTIM #1] was given a crime victim rights pamphlet with the associated case number and reporting deputy’s information.
