On September 1, 2025, at approximately 1130 hours, I, Sgt. Beltran was dispatched to [2500 BLOCK] Houston Ave in reference to a domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival, I made contact with the complainant, [VICTIM #1]. This was the third time today that Mr. [VICTIM #1] had contacted law enforcement regarding a domestic dispute involving a female identified as Bennett. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that Bennett had been threatening him by claiming she would call her brothers to come and kill him.

Mr. [VICTIM #1] was seeking guidance on how to have Bennett removed from his residence, although she is listed on the lease.

I then made contact with Bennett. While she was speaking, her statements were incoherent, and I detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her person. I asked Bennett to step outside so I could detain her for disorderly conduct.

As I attempted to place handcuffs on her, Bennett began to resist. I was able to secure one cuff on her wrist before she began pulling away from me. At that point, I performed a controlled leg sweep to bring her to the ground and gain control of the situation.

Bennett continued to resist but was eventually secured with handcuffs positioned in front of her. Each time I attempted to lift her, she kicked toward me. I waited for backup to arrive before attempting to move her again. Once additional units arrived, we were able to safely place Bennett into my patrol unit.

A check revealed that Bennett had an active warrant out of Henry County; however, they declined to place a hold or pick her up.

Bennett was transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center without further incident.
