On August 31,2021 Deputy Robinson and Corporal Saidi responded to a call at 6040 Harrison Rd (Murphy Oil USA) in reference to a person shot.

Upon my arrival I spoke with Mr. [WITNESS #1] he stated that around 9:00 Am he was sleeping under a bridge when a white male approached him possibly named [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] woke him up saying he has something for him. [WITNESS #1] asked what he had, and the male stated he had some pants for him. [WITNESS #1] stated he refused and that’s when a second unknown white male walked under the bridge and stated, ” You stole my sh*t.” The male shot him and walked off.

I also went and spoke with Mr. [WITNESS #2] at the Murphy Gas Station and he stated he heard 1 gunshot go off between 9:02am – 9-10am. Mr. [WITNESS #2] advised me that he was in the middle inventory room when a black male identified as Mr. [WITNESS #1] came knocking on the door saying, ” somebody got shot, call the ambulance “. Mr. [WITNESS #2] also stated the [WITNESS #1] explained that he was asleep and woke up to the sound of a gunshot and that the other guy had taken off running.

Lieutenant Kosmowski was notifed of the incident.

Investigator Coleman and The Crime Scene Unit responded to the call.

The unknown victim had 1 shot wound to his right side.

The crime scene was taped off and this is an ongoing investigation.

EMS units found bulltes in the victim pocket.
