On Friday, January 16, 2026, at approximately 2048 hours, I, Deputy Kile responded to an emergency 911 call for shots fired around [400 BLOCK] and [400 BLOCK] Hardwick Drive, Macon, Georgia.
I arrived on scene and encountered two suspects, identified as Jeremy Davis and Ja’naddia Sutton, both 19 years old. They stated they were involved in a shooting. I observed the vehicle they were in a silver 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, GA Tag # [REDACTED] with the two passenger side tires up in the air from where the vehicle drove over a large brick enclosed mailbox belonging to [400 BLOCK] Hardwick Drive (Ms. Debbie Dove’s residence) and a streetlamp post.
Both suspects were detained on scene. Cpl. Taylor and Lt. Purnell arrived and informed me of a black male, (later identified as [VICTIM #1]), wearing all black laying in front of the mailbox in the road of [400 BLOCK] Hardwick Drive. I attempted to render aid, but the male was not breathing and did not have a pulse. Emergency Medical Services and the Coroner arrived and pronounced [VICTIM #1] as deceased.
I was notified by dispatch that another black male, later identified as Lindale Maurice Shannon (The owner and suspected driver of the silver Tahoe) was found around [6700 BLOCK] Houston Road with a gunshot wound to his face. Shannon was transported by Atrium Navicent EMS to a local medical facility.
I transported Davis and Sutton to the CID Office for further questioning.
The scene was turned over to CID and the crime lab.
