On September 4, 2026, at approximately 2146 hours, I was dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Friendship Dr in reference to a trespassing complaint.
Upon arrival, I made contact with a male identified as [VICTIM #1]. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated a male had entered his property on multiple occasions stating the residence belonged to him and that he intended to enter the residence. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that the male threatened to physically harm him causing him to be in fear of his safety. Mr. [VICTIM #1] provided surveillance footage showing a male, later identified as Devin Sweat, walking up to the residence. Mr. [VICTIM #1] further advised that Mr. Sweat had walked down the road prior to my arrival.
While speaking with Mr. [VICTIM #1], I observed Mr. Sweat walking toward the property. I made contact with Mr. Sweat, who was speaking at a rapid pace and repeatedly stated he was the Sheriff and that Mr. [VICTIM #1]’s residence belonged to him. Mr. Sweat repeated these statements multiple times during the interaction. I asked Mr. Sweat if he had threatened to harm Mr. [VICTIM #1]. Mr. Sweat advised he did make the threat.
Mr. Sweat was placed under arrest and transported to the Brantley County Jail without incident. Warrants will be secured.
