On September 14, 2025, at approximately 0223 hrs., I received a call to respond to [8300 BLOCK] HWY 110 W in reference to a domestic. The complainant stated that his uncle busted in a window and was making homicidal threats. The complainant then stated that the offender was possibly in possession of a machete. The complainant then gave the offenders name of Lewis Warner.
Upon arriving on scene, I located the offender Lewis Warner at the beginning of the property by a shed. His ex-girlfriend [WITNESS #1] was also by the shed. Upon speaking with Lewis, I asked what was going on, and he had a hard time understanding what I was saying. Lewis wears hearing aids but due to him not having them on I was having a hard time speaking with him. [WITNESS #1] stated that Lewis was out of his medication. While I was listening to [WITNESS #1] Lewis spoke up stating that [VICTIM #1] was running from drug court. [VICTIM #1] lives in the residence with Lewis. [WITNESS #1] then spoke up stating that he was not. He then asked if [VICTIM #1] called. [WITNESS #1] then stated that the door is locked at the residence. Sgt. Vanessa then arrived on scene to assist with the call.
I stated to [WITNESS #1] that we cannot have Lewis showing out, and she stated that she knew. She then stated that Lewis had just recently had heart surgery. I was made aware the last time I had dealings with Lewis that he had his batteries in his pacemaker replaced and had stent(s) put in his heart. [WITNESS #1] stated that he is not on his medicine. I then asked what his plan for the night was, and she stated that she was going to try to get him to lay down in the shed.
I then explained to [WITNESS #1] that the call came out Lewis was making homicidal threats, and that he busted a window out. [WITNESS #1] stated that he did not bust a window out. [WITNESS #1] stated that he was beating on a window but did not bust it. [WITNESS #1] stated that he was beating on the window because of her. She then stated that she told [VICTIM #1] to lock the door. [WITNESS #1] stated that she can get him to calm down. We then went to speak with [VICTIM #1], and the complainant [WITNESS #2].
Upon speaking with them [WITNESS #2] stated [VICTIM #1] had to come lock himself in his room. [VICTIM #1] stated that his mother told him when Lewis started acting like that to lock him out of the residence. [VICTIM #1] then stated that Lewis snatched the window open coming through it with a machete. [WITNESS #2] then stated Lewis was talking about killing people.
I then told him they needed to get a 10-13 order on him to get him some help. We then asked if he busted the window, and [VICTIM #1] stated no. [VICTIM #1] stated that he just damaged the window locks. [VICTIM #1] stated that when Lewis gets his check and then get him some sh*t causing him to stay up for 2-3 nights. [VICTIM #1] then stated that Lewis then starts acting like he is now. I then stated to them that they could also contact his probation officer.
As we were getting ready to leave Lewis walked back up to the residence, and when he seen [WITNESS #2] in the yard, he started walking towards him with his fist balled up acting as if he was going to hit [WITNESS #2]. At that point I stepped in between them when Lewis asked me what I was going to do. I then stated to him to put his hands behind his back, and he stated that I was not going to fu*k with him.
I then grabbed his right wrist, and when he pulled away from me, I pulled my taser telling him to put his hands behind his back. Lewis then pulled his shirt down showing a scar on his chest stating that he just had three open heart surgeries. Due to his medical history and me having prior knowledge of his recent heart surgery I did not tase Lewis.
He then started to walk backwards away from me not listening to any of my verbal commands I was giving to him. I then called for Deputy Christopher Cooper to come assist on the call since Lewis acted as if he wanted to fight. Lewis then started walking towards the shed towards the front of the property, and at one point started jogging. I then pulled my taser again giving a warning arc to see if I could get some compliance out of him.
[WITNESS #1] then met us halfway in the yard, and she stated to me to let her try to calm him down. I allowed [WITNESS #1] to try to calm him down while he was still walking away from me, and it did not work. When we reached the shed again [WITNESS #1] pushed Lewis inside the shed where he sat down on the bed.
I then waited for Deputy Cooper to arrive on scene. When Deputy Cooper arrived on scene, we entered the shed and placed Lewis under arrest without incident. I then asked Deputy Cooper if he would transport Lewis to the jail since my truck was at the back of the property. He stated that he would.
I then searched Lewis prior to putting him in the back of Deputy Cooper patrol vehicle. I located in his front left pocket a glass smoking device with an off white residue on the tube of the pipe that I believe to be Methamphetamine. I then located a clear plastic baggie with a crystal-like substance inside tentatively identified as Methamphetamine in a cargo pocket on the right side of his shorts.
Lewis was then placed in the back seat of Deputy Cooper patrol vehicle. I then advised dispatch of the suspected Methamphetamine located. Lewis was then transported to jail. Lewis was released to the on-duty jail without incident, and they were informed of his recent surgery. Lewis received a citation for disorderly conduct.
Warrants for Possession of a Scheduled II Controlled Substance, Possession and Use of Drug Related Objects, and Obstructing and Hindering Law Enforcement are being secured for his arrest.
