On 2/15/2026 I was dispatched to [1000 BLOCK] College Cir. in Brantley County, GA. Unpon my arrival I met with a Mr. Michael Potts who stated some boys were driving reckless, and playing loud music and they have done it constantly for a while now. Mr. Michael stated he got mad and shot a round into the ground from his porch because he wanted them to stop. Mr. Michael then stated he drove his golfcart up to his fence and told them to stop. Mr. Michael stated the boy [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said he jump the fence and beat him up and he was going to get his dad to beat him up.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] and his friend [REDACTED] statement was the same until they stop at the fence they stated Mr. Michael pulled a gun and said he would put some lead in them but that all they would really say. They did not give much detail into what escalated the situtation.

I spoke to Mr. Michael again and he stated that he didnt even have him gun on him it was on the porch.

I arrested Mr. Michael and explained that the reason he was being arrested was not for shooting a gun on his property but for the reason he shot the gun to disturb the peace in a tumultuous way and cause the boys fear and to intimidate them to stop driving by his house.

Mr. Michael was transported to the Brantley County Jail without incident.
