On 1/10/2026 at approximately 00:51 hours, I was informed of a physical altercation at 412 Adamson Square (LocoMex). An older white male wearing a green shirt with white hair was identified through surveillance footage as being involved in the altercation and walking away from the scene. At 00:58 hours, I located Brain Ezell (offender/arrested) across the street from the Rome Street public bathroom.
Brian was bleeding from the face and from one of his legs. When I asked Brian how he obtained his injuries, he stated that a young white male at LocoMex called him a “dirty fa*got” and that he “got mad” in response. Brian did not recall what the male was wearing and denied having hit the male back at any point during the altercation. Brian later admitting to having words with the other parties involved and to possibly provoking the altercation.
I then spoke with officers that were reviewing the altercation through security footage. I was told that Brian was in a physical dispute with a group of males who had left the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. However, Brian is seen on camera provoking another party on scene by getting in his face in an aggressive manner and it seen at one point pulling on the shirt of another party and grabbing on the neck of another party on scene. The other parties were not able to be located or identified by law enforcement officers.
It should also be noted that dispatch advised that Brian had an active warrant through Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.
Medical personnel arrived on scene to check out Brian’s injuries. He denied being transported to the hospital.
I placed Brian in handcuffs, checked for fit, and double-locked. Prior to being placed in my patrol car, Brian advised officers that there was a small bag of cocaine in his right pocket, which was found during a search incident to arrest. The bag of cocaine was located and collected for evidence at 01:25 hours.
Brian was ultimately cleared by Tanner Medical Center before being booked in at Carroll County Jail.
Evidence was dropped into Locker 020 by Officer Carroll.
Warrants were typed for Brian James Ezell and are awaiting a judge’s signature.
