On February 8, 2026, at approximately 1202 hours, I was dispatched to [200 BLOCK] Lost Lake Way regarding a domestic dispute.

Upon my arrival, I met with [VICTIM #1] who told me that her husband Christopher Mitchell had an argument that ended with him placing his hand around her neck and choking her to the point where she could not breathe. She stated the argument began the night before after he had been drinking and continued into today.

I then spoke with Christopher, who said that, while arguing with [VICTIM #1], she hit him in the face. I went back to speak with [VICTIM #1] about hitting Christopher in the face and she said that when Christopher put his hands around her neck she shoved him by his face to get away from him and call 911 but did not hit him.

After speaking with the two I went to speak with the daughter [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who was a witness to the altercation between the two. While speaking with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] she told me she heard her parents arguing and they ended up in her room after pushing her door open. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said when they entered her room, she saw her dad’s hand around her mom’s neck while pushing her into her dresser. [VICTIM #1] stated this was not the first time Christopher put his hands on her and she has become increasingly worried for her and her daughter’s safety.

After speaking with all three of them and seeing the visible hand print on [VICTIM #1]’s neck I arrested Christopher Mitchell for aggravated assault family violence and cruelty to children in the 3rd degree. The handcuffs were checked for proper fit and Christopher was placed in my patrol vehicle, and transported to jail. A statement form was completed by [VICTIM #1] and pictures of her injuries were taken and will be uploaded into the other images tab.
