On May 15, 2026, at approximately 21:08 hours, I was dispatched to [400 BLOCK] Kenny Lane in reference to a domestic dispute involving a firearm.

Upon arrival, I met with the complainant, [VICTIM #1], who was parked down the street from the residence in an attempt to remove himself from the situation. [VICTIM #1] stated that his brother, Conner, was still at the residence with their mother, so I responded to the residence.

Upon arrival at the residence, I observed an individual standing in the driveway shirt less and struggling to maintain his balance. I identified the individual as Conner and detained him, placing him in the back of my patrol vehicle.

I first made contact with Conner’s girlfriend, [WITNESS #1], who stated that Conner had been drinking since approximately 1200 hours that day.

I then spoke with Conner’s mother, [VICTIM #2]. [VICTIM #2] stated that she and Conner had been involved in a verbal argument regarding her past relationships. She stated that Conner repeatedly said he did not like her boyfriend and that she needed to be with someone else. [VICTIM #2] stated that Conner then pushed her and told her to call his brother, [VICTIM #1], so he could speak with him.

I then spoke with [VICTIM #1], who stated that when he arrived, he observed that Conner was intoxicated and attempted to de-escalate the situation by taking him away from the residence for the night. [VICTIM #1] stated that Conner became very irate and aggressively walked toward him. [VICTIM #1] stated that he punched Conner in an attempt to stop him from advancing further. [VICTIM #1] stated that Conner then ran to his vehicle, retrieved a firearm, and attempted to load it. [VICTIM #1] stated that Conner had grabbed the wrong magazine, causing it to fall out while he was attempting to load the firearm. [VICTIM #1] further stated that Conner then chased him around a truck while pointing the firearm at him. [VICTIM #1] stated that he was able to get away from Conner after their mother stepped in front of Conner and said, “If you’re going to shoot someone, shoot me.” [VICTIM #1] stated that after he left the scene, Conner began punching his vehicle, causing injury to his hands.

The firearm was located inside the residence and was taken along with a fake ID, the magazine that he attempted to load, and bullets. All items from the scene are placed into evidence locker 4. Photographs of the scene and the victims were taken and uploaded to the linked files section of the report. I was unable to photograph Conner due to his uncooperative behavior.

There is a video of the altercation; however, due to its length, it could not be downloaded at the scene. CID was notified and will contact [VICTIM #2] to obtain the video. The victims were provided with a case card containing the case number and were advised on how to obtain a copy of the report. [VICTIM #2] was also provided with a pamphlet containing the phone number for the women’s shelter and was instructed on how to obtain a temporary protective order.

Conner was arrested for aggravated assault, family violence; possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; simple battery, family violence; and possession of alcohol by a minor
