On 12/30/2025 at approximately 0350 hours I Deputy D. Duffie responded to Bowdon Police Department to meet with [VICTIM #1] in reference to an incident that occurred at [200 BLOCK] Victory Dashboard Road between the hours of 2200 and 0100 hours.

Once out at Bowdon Police Department I spoke with [VICTIM #1] who stated that around 2200 hours on 12/29/2025 her live in boyfriend Daniel Ivey began fussing at her while she was in the kitchen cooking, just after some of his friends left the residence. [VICTIM #1] stated that Daniel has been accusing her of things and telling her she is lying about numerous things for the last few weeks, causing constant arguing.

She further stated that they had been arguing all day with him making degrading remarks towards her, but he was fine in front of friends while they were at the residence.

[VICTIM #1] stated that this incident began to escalate when Daniel grabbed a statue that is very sentimental to her being it was a gift from her late husband that had passed and began threatening to break it. [VICTIM #1] told Daniel that if he began breaking things again that she would call for help. [VICTIM #1] stated as things became more heated she began to call 911 for help and Daniel took the phone from her and began choking her with his left hand and then put both hands on her neck continuing to choke her against the living room wall. [VICTIM #1] stated she came close to losing consciousness and could not breathe. This is said to have occurred around 2230 to 2300 hours.

[VICTIM #1] stated while being choked against the wall she was able to began punching and scratching Daniel in the face in an attempt to get him off of her. She further stated she did draw blood on his face.

After [VICTIM #1] was able to get Daniel off of her and backed away from him she stated Daniel told her “if you call I will kill you and myself”, and began making her promise she wouldn’t call. After saying this it was said that Daniel grabbed a 30-30 rifle and began telling [VICTIM #1] he would kill him self.

[VICTIM #1] further stated Daniel went to bed room door as he was calling her names but went back over to her telling her to tell the truth if they could work this out. [VICTIM #1] stated she told him she promised to work it out and not call in an attempt to talk him down from killing her. Whole attempting to talk Daniel down [VICTIM #1] stated he pulled a black in color 22 cal. Revolver and pointed it at the left side of her head saying “I will kill you your not ruining my life”. [VICTIM #1] stated she knew the guns were loaded as they always are.

[VICTIM #1] stated she continued attempting to talk Daniel down and to get him to put the guns down, and after a while she was able to get him to lay in bed and go to sleep.

[VICTIM #1] was able to leave the residence and make her way to Bowdon Police Department after Daniel fell asleep around 0330 12/30/2025.

[VICTIM #1] stated her and Daniel have been living together since March of 2024 but she has made him leave a few times because of his anger, and they moved into this residence in June of 2025.

While speaking with [VICTIM #1], Daniel began calling and texting her two phones around 0435 hours. [VICTIM #1] didn’t answer or respond. There is also video footage attached to this report from the front porch camera that shows Daniel unplugging lights on the exterior of the residence. Pictures of the text and phone call log will be attached to this report.

It should be noted that Daniel is said to be intoxicated as he has been drinking and has been drinking crown whiskey and beer through the past week.

[VICTIM #1] stated Daniel has made statements in the past that if he ever gets in trouble he would get whoever got him in trouble back, and that he would go after male family members of hers because he doesn’t hit women.

Pictures of [VICTIM #1] will be attached to this report. There was some redness to [VICTIM #1]’s neck and some possible swelling to the left side. [VICTIM #1] denied any Medical attention.

Daniel is in the residence alone. Investigator Milsap and Captain Pope were both notified by Corporal Brynildsen.
