On 05/08/2026 at approximately 0812 hours, I, Officer Foughty, was contacted by Cpl. Prensal in reference to a possible child abuse case at Carrollton Elementary School. I responded to 401 Ben Scott Blvd and met with first-grade counselor [WITNESS #1] in Room 300.
Mrs. [WITNESS #1] stated that first-grade student [REDACTED BY AGENCY] went to her English/Spanish learning teacher this morning and showed bruising on her chest, arm, and a shoe imprint on her leg.
Mrs. [WITNESS #1] stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her that, on the previous night, her brother told her father, Henrry Acosta, that she had broken one of his toys [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that Henrry then struck her with his hand and a shoe.
Mrs. [WITNESS #1] showed me photographs depicting what appeared to be finger-shaped bruising on the left side of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] chest, a shoe imprint on the calf of her left leg, and small circular bruises on her left upper arm.
I then contacted Cpl. Prensal and advised him of the situation. Cpl. Prensal instructed me to contact Det. Cpl. Rosen. I spoke with Det. Cpl. Rosen and advised her of the situation. Det. Cpl. Rosen stated that she would be contacting DFCS. A short time later, Det. Cpl. Rosen arrived at the school, and the case was turned over to her.
The following was copied and pasted from the DFCS referral: [REDACTED BY AGENCY] came to school today and showed her teacher marks on her body that she received last night when her dad spanked her. Her dad grabbed her arm and squeezed it to hold her still, leaving a strawberry bruise on her left arm. Then he hit her with his hand on her chest leaving 3 long bruises (in the shape of 3 fingers) on her chest. He also hit her several times with a shoe, leaving shoe indentions on her left leg.
