On 1/18/2026 at approximately 0147 hours, I responded to 1122 Maple Street (Waffle House) in reference to an active fight in the parking lot.

Upon my arrival, I noticed a black male wearing a white hoodie with blood on it. The male was standing in front of a vehicle. At the time, I believed that the occupants of the vehicle were the other party involved in the fight. I called out to the male, who I recognized from a previous encounter at the Irish Bred Pub. Reference Sgt. Spruell’s report (26011945).

I called out to Isaiah McMichael as I walked up to him. I noticed Isaiah’s lip was bleeding. I asked Isaiah to walk away from the car and walk to the front of my patrol car. Isaiah got upset and refused to walk to my patrol car. I commanded Isaiah to walk to the front of my patrol car to separate him from the other party. Isaiah again ignored my command. I then grabbed Isaiah’s arm and walked him to my patrol car. Isaiah was still irate. I decided to place Isaiah in handcuffs to detain him and control the scene. I then secured him in the rear of my patrol car and immediately called for an ambulance to look at his cut lip.

Having already detained Isaiah in handcuffs, I read him his Miranda Rights and continued to investigate the fight. I asked Isaiah what had happened. Isaiah explained that he wanted a lawyer and did not wish to answer questions. Isaiah would later explain that he vaguely knew the other male as a football player but did not know his name. Isaiah explained that they exchanged harsh words, and they decided to take the argument outside, where they fought. Isaiah was adamant that he did not engage in the fight but only got hit.

Other officers arrived on scene and began speaking with the vehicle’s occupants (AL: [REDACTED]). Ofc. Osbourne obtained video footage from inside Waffle House from a manager, [REDACTED], and explained that both Isaiah and Jamarcus Prince were involved in a mutual fight.

I also observed the video, which clearly shows both Isaiah and Jamarcus engaging in a mutual fight.

EMS responded to check on Isaiah and explained that he would likely need stitches. Isaiah wished to be transported to Tanner. I then transported Isaiah to Tanner for treatment. After being released, I transported Isaiah to the Carroll County Jail, where he was turned over to jail staff for booking. Ofc. Osbourne also transported Jamarcus to the Carroll County Jail.

Both Isaiah and Jamarcus were charged with the following:

  • C66-7(A)(2) Disorderly Conduct Affray
