On 10/07/2025 at approximately 1529 hours, I responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a burglary.

Upon arrival to the incident location, spoke with the victim, [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] advised that her child’s father (Jason Hutchinson) had opened her bedroom window and entered her residence without her permission while she was asleep. [VICTIM #1] then advised Jason began yelling at her because he believed she had someone in her apartment previously. While Jason was inside of the residence, he took her phone and told [VICTIM #1] to let him have her phone and open it. [VICTIM #1] did not.

[VICTIM #1] then advised me that during their argument, Jason began pushing her into the bathroom against her will. [VICTIM #1] reported that once she was inside of the bathroom, she saw an opportunity to run out of the window and escape. I observed the blinds were broken on her bedroom window. I asked her if they were like that before he came into the room and she advised they were not.

Detective Wilson asked her to demonstrate how Jason was shoving her, which she did. When [VICTIM #1] was asked, why did Jason enter the residence, she advised he came inside because he was angry. I was informed by Detective Wilson that Jason stated that [VICTIM #1] and him, had an agreement for him to come over to the apartment. I asked [VICTIM #1] about that, and she stated that they did have an agreement for him to come over, until he started talking about wanting sex. [VICTIM #1] stated at that point, she told him she wasn’t into that, and he needed to wait to come over.

I asked [VICTIM #1] if she ever told him not to come over, she advised she did not, she only told him to wait. [VICTIM #1] advised me that they never did come to an agreement on the time Jason was supposed to come over. I then asked her if it was normal for Jason to come through the window. [VICTIM #1] advised that Jason only came over to this apartment one time, and the time he did he came through the window.

I then asked [VICTIM #1] what she believed Jason’s purpose of entering the residence was. [VICTIM #1] advised that she believed the reason he came over to the residence was to have an argument and fight because he started off by yelling at her in her face. The estimated cost to fix the blinds that were broken is $35.

It should also be noted, that when Jason was apprehended, he had [VICTIM #1]’s phone on his person. When [VICTIM #1] tried to turn it on, she was locked out because someone tried to guess her passcode incorrectly too many times.

Jason fled from officers at the University of West Georgia, but was apprehended.

Detective Wilson took control of the scene after I spoke with [VICTIM #1].

Jason was transported to the Carroll County Jail without incident and charged with the following:

Kidnapping (FVA)
Burglary 1st Degree (FVA)
Obstruction

Pictures were taken by Detective Wilson. Detective Wilson advised that he would type the warrants.
