On 05/10/2026 at approximately 01:43 hours, I responded to 210 Adamson Square in reference to a fight. Sgt. Moreau advised that several subjects were fighting in front of the Irish Pub.
Upon arrival, I observed Sgt. Moreau was in a physical altercation with a black male. Sgt. Moreau had the black male, later identified as Eric Alexander Lee Gray, on the ground, issuing him commands. I also saw a very large crowd swarming and towering over Sgt. Moreau. I saw this as a rapidly evolving and potentially dangerous situation. I unholstered my department-issued taser (S/N: X40019MCM) and pointed it at a group of males and told them to back away several times. These males complied.
I holstered my taser and turned to assist Sgt. Moreau. I grabbed Eric’s right arm and gave him a loud verbal command to put his hands behind his back. I then forced his arm behind his back while Sgt. Moreau placed him in handcuffs. I then assisted Eric in getting off the ground. Eric stated that his “chain” (necklace) was on the ground and asked me to grab it for him. As I was escorting Eric to the Sgt. Moreau’s patrol vehicle, Eric turned towards a crowd and began yelling, “Everybody that jumped me is a b*tch” and began pulling away from me. I gave Eric a command to stop, but he did not comply. I had to force Eric against the Sgt. Moreau’s vehicle was used to prevent him from engaging the crowd. Eric was then placed into the Sgt. Moreau’s vehicle without further incident.
Irish Pub manager [WITNESS #1] told me that he knew who else was involved and started the fight. [WITNESS #1] stated that a heavy-set, light-skinned female initially started the fight with Eric over his phone. [WITNESS #1] stated that the female, whom he knew to be [REDACTED], tried to grab Eric’s phone from him several times before he grabbed her and slammed her to the ground. [WITNESS #1] stated that others began jumping in following this.
[WITNESS #1] then pointed to a black male wearing a red jacket and a black and white hat and told me that he was also involved in the fight and was kicking people. I walked up to this male, later identified as [REDACTED], and detained him in handcuffs. Irish Pub Security [REDACTED] stated that [REDACTED] was directly involved in the fight.
It was later determined that a separate black male wearing a red jacket and of a similar description had been involved in the fight and NOT [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] was released from jail, and the charges were dismissed.
