On 11/13/2025, at approximately 1804 hours, I was dispatched to [700 BLOCK] South Street (South Ridge Apartments) in reference to an active fight. Dispatch advised that people in their 20s were fighting in the parking lot with batons.

I arrived on scene and was flagged down by Lachelle Miller. Lachelle stated that some guys tried to jump her dad. She began walking towards Ashlyn Crouch. Lachelle began to argue with Ashlyn, and they both moved closer to each other’s faces, continuing to argue. I told Lachelle to step over to the front of my car and asked Ashlyn to step to the front of hers. I detained Lachelle in handcuffs because she continued to be aggressive towards Ashlyn.

I interviewed Ashlyn. Ashlyn stated that she arrived at the South Ridge Apartments to confront her mother’s fiancé, Charles Miller, because he had hit her mother, [REDACTED], the day prior. Ashlyn told two other males to back her up. As she arrived, she was met with Lachelle, Zyair, and another male. She stated that Charles started fighting another male who left the scene.

I went to interview Charles. I observed a red cut underneath Charles’ bottom lip in the middle. Charles stated it was a skin condition. I observed an old cut above the right eyebrow of [REDACTED], Charles stated he was leaving for work when he noticed people outside waiting for him. He was confronted by two males, [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. Zyair and another male started fighting, and he broke them up. Charles said this started because he got [REDACTED] to leave a drug house. As I was talking to Charles, I noticed someone inside Ashlyn’s car.

I walked over towards Ashlyn’s car and found Amariah Marenco in the passenger seat. Amariah stated that she was in the car when Ashlyn was on the phone with her mom. Amariah stated that Ashlyn decided she wanted to talk to Charles about him hitting her mom the day prior. Amariah stated that Ashlyn told two other males to come with her because she claimed that Charles only listens to males. Ashlyn was on the phone with [REDACTED], telling her she was on the way, when [REDACTED] told her not to arrive anymore because Lechelle was there with two other men. Amariah and Ashlyn arrived. Amariah started recording when the tension began to build. Amariah showed me the video and sent it.

The video shows Zyair approaching a male in gray in a fighting stance before they begin fighting. Charles runs in and joins the fight. The males separate, and at this point, Lachelle is seen holding a bat in the background. Ashlyn is heard saying, “Alright, we’re done, don’t put your hands on her again.” She throws her out to the side a little while bucking at Charles before turning away. Charles replies and says, “Imma put my hands on them again”.

I investigated further and discussed with other Officers. Due to all the facts presented, it was determined that Charles Miller, Lachelle Miller, Zyair Cain, and Ashlyn Crouch were all involved in provoking and engaging in a fight.

Charles Miller, Lachelle Miller, Zyair Cain, and Ashlyn Crouch are being charged with Disorderly Conduct (Provoke/Engage/Fight) C66-7(A)(4). Amariah Marenco had a warrant for a separate offense. I transported her to the Carroll County Jail, where the jailers took custody of her.
