On 1/4/2026 at approximately 0116 hours, I responded to 202 Tanner Street (Tanner Street Parking Deck) in reference to an assault. Dispatch advised the complainant had been punched in the face by his girlfriend.

Upon my arrival at 202 Tanner Street, I met with Blake Sawrie, who was visibly bleeding from his right hand and his nose. I called for an ambulance to check on Blake in case he had any further injuries. I asked Blake to explain what happened.

Blake explained that he had been at the Irish Bred Pub on Adamson Square with his girlfriend, Natalie Snow, and an unknown male and female friend. Blake did not know the other couple but knew that they were Natalie’s friends. Blake claimed that Natalie had consumed too much alcohol at the Pub and needed to go home. Blake walked back to the Tanner Street Parking Deck with Natalie and the other couple.

When Blake, Natalie, and the other couple arrived at the parking deck, Blake claimed that Natalie punched him in the face. Blake claimed that he responded by punching her in the face. Blake then claimed the other male began fighting with him. Blake was able to get up and was chased around the parking deck, being punched in the face by Natalie. Blake explained that the altercation began because of inappropriate statements he made towards Natalie and Tamara.

I was able to review camera footage from the parking deck. The video shows Blake pushing Natalie towards a white SUV. The other female, later identified as Tamara McTaggart, approached Blake and got in his face. Tamara then appeared to punch Blake in the face. Blake immediately punched Tamara in the face. Blake can be seen throwing an additional punch at Tamara. Tamara’s husband, Marcus Meeks, then pushed Blake to the ground and threw several punches at Blake’s head. While Blake and Marcus fought, Tamara and Natalie joined in and punched Blake. Blake was able to stand up, and Natalie began chasing him around, punching and slapping him in the face.

After reviewing the video, it was apparent that Blake was actively engaging in mutual combat with Tamara, Marcus and Natalie when he threw several punches after having the opportunity to disengage from the fight and walk away.

I placed Blake in double-locking handcuffs, both hands to the rear, and checked for proper fit. I then secured Blake in the rear of my patrol car and transported him to the Carroll County Jail for booking.

Ofc. Sutton and Kennedy were able to locate Tamara, Marcus and Natalie. All parties were arrested for the following:

C66-7(A)(2) Disorderly Conduct: Affray

Due to Natalie’s extremely intoxicated state, she was issued a citation and notice to appear in court for the same charge.
