At approximately 0123 hours on November 1, 2025, I responded to [205 BLOCK] Adamson Avenue for a dispute.
Dispatch advised Preston Osborne was actively trying to gain entry to the residence. While en route, dispatch updated that Preston had made a forced entry through a window. I was familiar with the address from previous calls the department had responded to, including stalking, attempted burglary/entry, criminal trespass, and loitering. I activated the blue emergency lights on my marked patrol cars to respond more quickly.
I arrived and parked away from the residence. As I approached, I observed a male figure enter the main door, followed by a female yelling. The door was still ajar, with yelling continuing. I yelled out, announcing myself and for Preston to exit. I received no response, only arguments from the male and female. I attempted to call out the female, [VICTIM #1], who answered, “No, y’all come in here.”
I holstered my sidearm and entered with K-9 Officer Carroll as my backup. I aimed my taser down the hallway where [VICTIM #1] was standing, engaging with Preston in a laundry room. Preston exited and ignored the officers. I holstered my taser and took hold of Preston. Preston was placed in double-locked handcuffs behind his back and escorted outside. I read Preston his Miranda Warning before being placed in the rear of my patrol car.
Interviewing [VICTIM #1], she stated she called 911 when Preston was outside trying to gain entry through a window. She was adamant that he came through a window and did not enter through the main door. I asked if she had talked to Preston, who she is not currently with. She said no at first, but admitted they had talked on Snapchat earlier. I asked if I could see the earlier messages.
[VICTIM #1] showed me her Snapchat and allowed me to review recent messages, which showed little conversation until around 9 PM on October 31, 2025, when Preston described her not answering him for the past three hours. Then [VICTIM #1] responds, “wh*re.” Preston then responds several times and finishes with, “I’ll leave you alone.”
Soon after the last message, Preston begins repeatedly calling [VICTIM #1] on Snapchat, showing several missed calls. Preston then states, “Are you dead fu*king a*s, so that’s it.” He then sent two Snaps that were not opened yet. Preston calls a few more times and sends, “Ur with a dude, I have it all on video, open the door.”
I asked [VICTIM #1] about the unopened videos that Preston had sent. She opened them and freaked out, stating that it was creepy. The videos showed Preston outside the window, peeking through a blind, and of her sitting on the couch on the phone. [VICTIM #1] did not know Preston was at the house and had not invited him over. [VICTIM #1] mentioned Preston was so heated once he was in the residence, she thought Preston was going to “kill” [REDACTED], the guy she had over. [VICTIM #1] wished to prosecute.
I examined the window Preston reportedly entered. I did not find anything in disarray. The window was currently locked (two locks) and showed no apparent new handprints.
Interviewing Preston Osborne. I verified that he understood his Miranda Rights as described and reiterated that he did not have to speak with me without a lawyer present. Preston acknowledged and agreed to give a statement.
Preston stated he was working things out with [VICTIM #1] and occasionally coming over. They had been together for around a year. Preston advised he was on Adamson Square drinking and took an “Uber” to [VICTIM #1]’s residence. He admitted he usually stays in Dallas, GA, but wanted to “surprise her.” Preston admitted it was [VICTIM #1]’s house and he had limited property, including a coffee maker and some clothing. Preston also admitted to having previous encounters with officers, and he was advised to obtain a police escort for his property.
Preston again admitted he recorded a video of [VICTIM #1] through the window to make her feel stupid. Preston then told me that he had entered through the main door and passed [VICTIM #1] with the intention of confronting or fighting the other male inside. I asked why Preston was in the laundry room. Preston said [VICTIM #1] pushed him in there to keep him from the other male, [REDACTED].
When I described Preston’s conversation on Snapchat, he acknowledged they hadn’t talked since midnight. Preston said he told [VICTIM #1] he was coming by phone around 9 PM. I mentioned to Preston how odd it was they our conversation ended with an argument and no invitation that night. Preston stuttered and responded, “I could see through the crack,” “I was gonna show her.”
The said incident fell under the Family Violence Act of Georgia, as both parties had lived together. Inv. Keever #249 was contacted. I transported Preston Osborne to Carroll County Jail. Preston was charged OCGA 16-11-61: Peeping Tom and OCGA 16-5-90: Stalking. Warrants were typed.
