On 1/1/2026, I responded with Officer Crafton #264 and Corporal Christensen #239 to the Royal Inn room [REDACTED] in reference to a domestic dispute between Quentin Antoine Nation and [VICTIM #1].

As the initial officer arriving on scene, I went and checked on [VICTIM #1] in room [REDACTED] and noticed that Quentin was standing outside the room. After ensuring that [VICTIM #1] did not require any medical assistance, I began asking Quentin questions about the incident. Quentin smelled very strongly of an alcoholic beverage and was having trouble standing up without using the pillar outside the room as a support, and was even having trouble keeping his eyes open.

I asked Quentin about the relationship between him and [VICTIM #1], and he stated that she was his girlfriend and that she lived with him. I asked Quentin to give me his driver’s license, and he was very slow to respond. And it took me asking four to five times for him to finally realize that his license was inside. I began asking Quentin questions about the argument, and he just kept responding with “I don’t know what happened.”

At this time, CPL. Christensen had already begun interviewing [VICTIM #1], and I could hear her explaining that Quentin had allegedly assaulted her. I told Quentin that he needs to be more descriptive, and I asked him to further explain what had happened; however, Quentin just continued to state that he doesn’t know what happened.

During this time, Quentin kept putting his hands in his pockets, and I repeatedly ordered him to stop, as I was unsure if he was armed. During this time, Quentin began shouting angrily and using profane and vulgar language, and at one point, he dropped all the items from his pockets by pulling them out.

I explained to Quentin that he needed to stop being loud, disorderly, and using profanity, as there were two juvenile females who were approximately 10-15 feet behind him. This enraged Quentin even more to the point that he began walking away from Ofc. Crafton and I, due to Quentin still being detained as a part of the family violence investigation, ordered him to go back to where he was standing and stop walking away from us. Quentin began loudly saying, “I’ll go to jail, I don’t give a fu*k” as I continuously explained to Quentin that he was detained and that he needed to stop being loud and disorderly. During this time, I explained to Quentin that I was trying to de-escalate the situation and get him to calm down, but he stated that he did not care.

At one point, I switched places with CPL. Christensen began interviewing [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] explained that there had been a verbal argument and that at one point Quentin became enraged due to the fact that he was intoxicated and pushed her. She stated that she pushed Quentin back with her shoulder and tried to go into the bathroom.

She stated that once she was in the bathroom, Quentin opened the door and pushed her into the bathtub, where he began punching her. [VICTIM #1] stated that at one point Quentin grabbed her by the neck before she was able to get him off of her. [VICTIM #1] did not have any physical injuries on her head or face consistent with a punch.

At this point, Quentin repeatedly tried to speak to [VICTIM #1], and when I asked him to stop speaking to her, he became enraged again. I repeatedly warned Quentin to stop speaking loudly and using profanity; however, he continued to do so. Eventually, Quentin became so enraged that he turned and began punching the wall of the motel with great force.

In order to stop Quentin from damaging the motel wall or escalating his behavior and becoming combative with law enforcement, Officer Crafton and I detained Quentin in handcuffs, which were double locked for proper fit. Quentin was placed in the back of my patrol car and transported to the Carroll County Jail.
