[Please note: The following is a direct transcription from the officer’s narrative report. We do not fix any spelling or grammatical errors. Any changes made by our staff are placed inside brackets. Some errors may exist.]

On October 12, 2021 at approximately 1821 hours, I, Officer Davis, was dispatched to [200 BLOCK] Pear Drive, Apartment [REDACTED], in reference to damage to property.

Upon arrival, I met with the complainant, [VICTIM]. She told me that at an unknown time on this date, she walked outside to her vehicle and noticed scratches on it as if a knife or key made them. [VICTIM] then told me that she thinks her ex-girlfriend, Taylor Ketchens, did it.

I asked her why she thought this, and she showed me a screenshot of messages sent from Taylor to someone else. The text message clearly states that Taylor said “I pooped her tire” in an attempt to say “popped”. [VICTIM] told me that she checked all her tires, but no damage was done to the tires. Furthermore, in the text messages, Taylor sent a text message saying “I haye her” in an attempt to say “hate”. This text message was implied towards [VICTIM], due to the breakup.

A picture of the screenshot that was sent third party to [VICTIM] was attached to the report. The estimated value of damage to [VICTIM]’s vehicle is approximately $200.00.

I gathered all available information I could for Taylor and tried to make contact with her via telephone. After I could not make contact, [VICTIM] told me that Taylor lives at [200 BLOCK] Pear Drive apartment [REDACTED]. I attempted one additional time to contact Taylor, this time at her residence, but was unsuccessful.

Photographs of the text messages and damage to the vehicle were attached to the report.

No further at this time.
