On 3/17/2026, and at approximately 06:56 hours, I, Deputy W. Jordan #916, was dispatched to [40 BLOCK] Deerfield Lane in reference to a shooting incident.

Upon arriving on scene I began speaking with the victim, [VICTIM #1], who advised me that his vehicle had been shot with a handgun. [VICTIM #1] stated that his neighbor at [50 BLOCK] Deerfield Lane, Wayne Wilson, was the offender. [VICTIM #1] stated that he was backing into his driveway from the roadway when Wayne fired the handgun, striking [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle, from his front porch. [VICTIM #1] advised me that Wayne fired approximately 4 to 5 shots. I only observed a mark on the vehicles back driver side door that appeared to be from a bullet.

Deputy J. Leverrette #987 and I attempted to make contact with Wayne but our attempt was unsuccessful. I noticed that there were no shell casings on the front porch and that there appeared to be women’s clothing on the front yard near the porch.

As I began speaking with other residents of [40 BLOCK] Deerfield Lane, I was advised by a witness, [WITNESS #1], that he had heard the shot being fired while he was in the residence and that he called Carroll County 911.

Cpl. D. Robinson #989 conducted the gathering of information as I secured the rear of the residence due to Wayne refusing to answer the door for law enforcement personnel.

Photographs of the vehicle that was struck due to the gunfire is attached in the “Linked Files” tab.
