At approximately 0112 hours on March 9, 2025, I was stationary on Adamson Square, observing patrons exiting closing bars. I heard a commotion near Nama Asian Fusion and could see females shoving. At one point, I could see a female in a white t-shirt swinging downward.
I activated my lights, drove to the quadrant, exited, and found Zana Montgomery (black shirt) gathering her hair from the ground. I placed her in handcuffs as she was involved. The other female, [VICTIM #1], began walking away while I was handcuffing Zana.
Zana was placed in my patrol car. Both females were intoxicated. Zana stated the fight stemmed from an incident at Dyson Bar & Grill on Bankhead where the other female reportedly touched Zana’s girlfriend, [REDACTED], inappropriately. Zana said she was defending [REDACTED] and herself after getting attacked.
I obtained the video of the fight outside Nama, which showed Zana starting the fight and sneaking the first punch to [VICTIM #1]’s face.
Zana was arrested and cited for C66-7(A)(4): Disorderly Conduct: Provoke/Engage/Fight. I transported her to Carroll County Jail and turned her over to jail staff.
