On 07/30/2026, I was traveling westbound on Battlefield Parkway when I observed the listed vehicle approaching the intersection of South Cedar Lane. The vehicle was traveling in the designated right-turn-only lane. Despite the posted “Right Turn Only” traffic control signage, the vehicle proceeded straight through the intersection. Based on this observed traffic violation, I initiated a traffic stop.

Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Vivian Hair, she provided her Georgia driver’s license upon request. A records check through NCIC, confirmed by Catoosa County Dispatch, revealed that her Georgia driver’s license was suspended.

Vivian was asked to exit the vehicle, and she complied without incident. She was placed under arrest for driving while her license was suspended. Her hands were secured behind her back, and handcuffs were applied, checked for proper fit, and double locked. Officer Hall (#136) arrived on scene and conducted a search incident to arrest. No contraband was located on her person. Vivian was then placed in the rear seat of my patrol vehicle, which had been inspected prior to her placement and found to contain no contraband. Her seatbelt was secured.

As the vehicle was to be towed, I conducted an inventory of its contents in accordance with department policy. During the inventory, I located a green package labeled “Copperstate Sour Apple Solvent-less Live Rosin Gummies” inside a bag on the front passenger seat. The label indicated the product was manufactured in Arizona and contained 100 mg of THC. Vivian did not possess a medical marijuana card, and the product was manufactured in Arizona rather than Georgia for medicinal purposes. Based on these circumstances, the gummies were determined to be in violation of Georgia law and were seized as evidence. Due to exposure to heat, the gummies had melted and adhered to the interior of the package.

Yates Collision responded to the scene and towed the vehicle. A tow sheet and vehicle inventory were completed. The seized evidence was placed into evidence locker 002, and Property Form #14581 was completed.

Vivian was transported to the Catoosa County Jail without incident. After removing her from my patrol vehicle, conducted a post-transport inspection of the rear seat and found no contraband. Vivian was served on her license suspension and a suspension service form was completed. Her driver’s license was attached this form and turned in to the appropriate party at the PD.

Warrants were applied for the following offenses:

• Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance – Possession of THC gummies (100 mg) manufactured in Arizona while not being a registered medical marijuana patient.
• Disobeying a Traffic Control Device – Operating a vehicle straight through an intersection from a lane designated and marked for right turns only.
• Driving While License Suspended – Operating a motor vehicle while her Georgia driver’s license was suspended.
