On October 4, 2025, at 2012 hours, I was dispatched to a fight in progress at the Dollar General, in reference to a previous call that units were just on. When I arrived at the scene, I spoke with the complainant, [VICTIM #1], who was a Dollar General employee.
[VICTIM #1] stated that she went to the Pizza Hut to get the pizza she had ordered, and Abbie Lopez started to get irate, pulling her hair and throwing pizza at her. She stated she then called the police. I asked if she wanted to press charges for pulling her hair. She stated no, she just wanted her to trespass from the Dollar General.
I then attempted to contact Abbie Lopez, who was inside the bathroom at Pizza Hut. She started yelling from the bathroom door, stating she was using the restroom to which I advised her that it was the police, and she needed to exit the bathroom. While waiting for backup units, I gave several commands to come out of the bathroom as well as announcing I was the police for her to exit the bathroom, but she refused. When my backup officers arrived on scene, we attempted one more announcement for her to come out of the bathroom, but she refused. Officers were able to unlock the door and take Abbie into custody. She was placed into handcuffs that were sized to fit and double locked behind her back. She was then placed into the transport compartment of Officer Osses patrol vehicle.
Abbie was being charged with Obstruction due to not listening to commands to come out of the bathroom. Disorderly conduct for causing a disturbance in a public place with numerous people watching. Public Intoxication due to the bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her breath. She was given a $3,000 bond for charges. She was also Criminal trespassed from the Dollar General 5214 Augusta Road. She was then transported to the Chatham County Jail.
