On 02/24/24 at approximately 0233 hours, this officer responded to Club Elan, located at 301 Williamson St, in reference to a fight which just occurred. Upon arrival this officer met with the Manager Mr. [MANAGER] who stated several of his employees were assaulted by a female patron they were removing from the club.
This officer first spoke with a Bouncer named Mr. [BOUNCER #1] who stated he was attempting to remove a female from the club who’d thrown up in the bathroom when the female grabbed a handful of his hair and pulled it out. Mr. [BOUNCER #1] showed this officer a chunk of his hair which had been removed. Later when this officer examined the back of his head,a missing patch could not be found indicating the hair was not pulled out by the root.
Next this officer spoke with another Bouncer named Mr. [BOUNCER #2] who stated he’d been hit in the genitals by the female they were attempting to remove from the club. Mr. [BOUNCER #2] stated he had the female in a bear hug when he was told by Mr. [MANAGER] to let her go, when he did this, the female hit him between his legs.
Next this officer spoke with the Bartender named Ms. [BARTENDER] who stated she’d been asked to assist with getting a female out of the employee bathroom. Ms. [BARTENDER] stated when she entered the restroom the female told her she needed to change her tampon and asked for a few minutes, which she was granted. A few minutes later when Ms. [BARTENDER] again entered the restroom, the female removed her tampon and threw it at Ms. [BARTENDER]. This is when security stepped in and removed the female from the club.
The bar was able to provide the female’s name as Alaia Aronow based off her bar tab. After speaking with the employees, Mr. [MANAGER] showed this officer the security footage of the incident. The footage shows Ms. Aronow forcing her way into the locked employee bathroom and Mr. [BOUNCER #1] telling her she can’t be in there. He is seen pointing to the public restroom directly next to the employee one.
A few moments later, Mr. [BOUNCER #2] enters the frame, followed by Ms. [BARTENDER]. Ms. [BARTENDER] is seen standing in the doorway of the restroom talking to Ms. Aronow before shutting the door and waiting a few minutes. When she reenters, Ms. [BARTENDER] is again seen speaking with Ms. Aronow before jumping back out of the bathroom presumably when the tampon was thrown. From there, Ms. Aronow is seen exiting the restroom and immediately being escorted from the building by Mr. [BOUNCER #1] and Mr. [BOUNCER #2]. Ms. Aronow can be seen fighting and resisting the entire way outside. The video clearly shows Ms. Aronow grabbing and pulling Mr. [BOUNCER #1]’s hair and her hitting Mr. [BOUNCER #2] in the genitals. Mr. [MANAGER] was provided a CRN Card and he provided an e-mail address of [EMAIL REDACTED] to have a evidence.com link sent to for video upload.
While at Club Elan, a call came out regarding a female being removed from a club, who wanted to speak with PD. The caller advised they were at [200 BLOCK] Habersham St. When this officer and Officer Moran arrived at the address, it was discovered the female caller was Ms. Alaia Aronow. Ms. Aronow stated she was forcefully removed from the club. She initially denied forcing her way into the bathroom, only stating she needed to use the restroom to throw up and change her tampon. She also initially denied throwing her used tampon at Ms. [BARTENDER] but later stated she did throw it. When confronted about her pulling Mr. [BOUNCER #1]’s hair out and hitting Mr. [BOUNCER #2] in the genitals, Ms. Aronow attempted to justify her action by stating she was defending herself.
Ms. Aronow was arrested on the following charges. For throwing her used tampon at Ms. [BARTENDER], Mr. Aronow was charged with Simple Assault under OCGA 16-5-20 For hitting Mr. [BOUNCER #2] in the genitals, Ms. Aronow was charged with Simple Battery under OCGA 16-5-23 For pulling Mr. [BOUNCER #1]’s hair out, Ms. Aronow was charged with Battery under OCGA 16-5-23.1 For not leaving the club after being told several times, Ms. Aronow was charged with Criminal Trespass under OCGA 16-7-21 BWC was active
