On December 5th 2025, I was dispatched and responded to Chu’s convenience store (12006 Middleground Rd.) in the City of Savannah, GA for a report of an unwanted subject refusing to leave. Upon arrival, Officer Hernandez was in the parking lot of the convenience store by the gas pumps with the male subject (Anthony Tisdale) who was requesting a supervisor.

Anthony was very upset and yelling about the cashier refusing to sell him a drink after a verbal altercation. Anthony was loudly yelling vulgar, profane, and sexually explicit remarks. Anthony was advised by CPL Harper that he was being banned from the premises and that he was no longer allowed back. Anthony was given multiple opportunities to leave the business premises. Anthony walked into the roadway of Middleground Rd. on several occasions elsewhere from a crosswalk, while continuing to be disorderly and yelling obscenities. Anthony kept making remarks to SGT Baker and I to the effect of, “Wait until I get a gun.” and “I will kill you!”

CPL Gwinn and CPL Harper followed Anthony across Middleground Rd. as he again began walking in the roadway at a point other than a crosswalk. CPL Gwinn and CPL Harper arrested Anthony, and he was placed in handcuffs behind his back. Handcuffs were checked for fit and double locked. I drove my patrol car to the roadway where they were located and activated my scene lights and emergency lights for scene security. Anthony was searched incident to arrest, and three separate packages of green leafy material were found in his pockets. One was a small clear bag containing green leafy material, one was a small brown plastic bag with green leafy material, and one was a black plastic condiment cup with lid containing green leafy material. Based on my training and experience, the smell coming from the green leafy material was that of marijuana. Anthony was placed in the back of my patrol car and I drove back to the parking lot of Chu’s convenience store.

While completing the Field Arrest Report, Anthony stated, “Do I need to make more threats?”

Anthony was charged with:

1 misdemeanor count of Disorderly Conduct (O.C.G.A 16-11-39) for the yelling of vulgar and profane language at the scene.

1 misdemeanor count of Possession of marijuana less than an ounce (O.C.G.A 16-13-30(j)) for the three separate packages of green leafy material found in his pockets.

1 misdemeanor count of Crossing roadways Elsewhere Than a Crosswalk (O.C.G.A 40-6-92) for walking through the roadways on Middleground Rd. outside the crosswalk at the intersection.

1 felony count of Terroristic Threats (O.C.G.A 16-11-37) for verbalizing threats to kill SGT Baker and I.

Anthony’s property of a backpack with personal items, and a coat were placed in a large brown bag and collected from the scene.

Anthony was transported to CCDC and booked.

I logged Anthony’s backpack and coat into safekeeping at the property room. The green leafy material was weighed collectively and displayed a weight of 5.55grams total. A field test kit was used with a small sample from the green leafy material, and yielded a positive field test. Pictures were uploaded to Axon Evidence.
