On Saturday, October 25, 2025, while patrolling on foot near the intersection of West Congress Street and Montgomery Street. I observed an individual, who was later identified as ARKEEM COLEMAN, riding in circles on a bicycle.

While placing a hand on police road barricades that were blocking off the Eastbound traffic on West Congress Street, he made a circle around them. Coleman then grabbed each of the two barricades and pulled them down to the ground.

I walked over to Coleman and placed him under arrest. The handcuffs were checked for proper fit and were double-locked. Coleman was searched incident to arrest. Coleman made non-stop, spontaneous utterances about an officer down the street who told him that he could knock them down.

Coleman was transported and booked in the Chatham County Detention Center without incident.

Ofc. Ewell brought Coleman’s bike to the Savannah PD Property Room and submitted it for safekeeping.
