I, APO. Lafeuillee (Traffic Unit), began investigating this hit and run crash that occurred at the intersection of Towne Center Dr/Towne Center Ct on December 3, 2025.

FRAMES N GAMES (12/3/2025)

I began at Frames and Games to locate some more information on the subjects.

I spoke to Ms. [WITNESS #1] (associate, witness). She advised she was informed of the crash by the responding officer. She advised she started looking at the camera footage herself. She remembered the lady because she had a tab at the bar under the last name [REDACTED]. She went onto Facebook and found [REDACTED]. She looked at the photo and identified Ms. [REDACTED]. I began looking at the camera footage with her.

THINGS OF NOTE FROM FOOTAGE

Four individuals came into the establishment and were at the bar drinking alcoholic beverages.

The suspect was a white male, had a beard, and was wearing a dark colored jersey with the logo “Thompson 6” on the back of it. He was with a white female, later identified as Ms. [REDACTED], wearing a white hat and dark colored clothing. The suspect and this female were hugging and being intimate with each other. This caused me to believe that they were possibly dating.

As I reviewed the footage, I observed the male drinking a beverage that looked like a soda at approximately 19:00:22 hours. Based on my training and experience, I believed this was probably not just a soda since he was at the bar area. This drink was in a clear plastic cup without a lid. I believed he was likely drinking an alcoholic beverage. I asked Ms. [WITNESS #1], and she advised it appeared that the male was drinking a “Jack and Coke”. She also advised that the four subjects were given “green tea shots”.

The male got into the driver’s seat, and the female entered the passenger seat of a Ford F-150 at approximately 21:51:48 hours. Some things of note from this vehicle are the following:

The vehicle was colored a shade of white, newer model, and a black tri fold Tonneau cover on the trunk. It had dark rims and 2 roof caps on the roof of the vehicle towards the rear of it.

They drove onto Towne Center Ct, and approached Towne Center Dr. This is where the crash occurred. The suspect vehicle continued down the access road near a hotel that is being built that connected to Towne Center Blvd. I checked [REDACTED]’s Facebook screen shots. I saw that she has a boyfriend by the name of Austin Thompson. I found his date of birth on Facebook as well. The facial characteristics (white male & long beard) of him matched the suspect in the video as well as well as the last name on the back of the t-shirt.

INVESTIGATION INTO [REDACTED]/AUSTIN THOMPSON

I was able to obtain an OLN for him [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and ran it through GCIC/NCIC. I called the Georgia State Patrol, and gave them his name. Mr. Thompson received a seat belt ticket from them earlier this year. The license plate was GA:[REDACTED]. The vehicle was registered at the time to a black 2015 Ford F-150. I knew it was feasible that he could have gotten a new vehicle and put the license plate on his newer vehicle. I ran it through GCIC/NCIC, and it came back registered to him. The vehicle associated with the plate was a 2025 white Ford F-150.

It should be noted that Mr. Thompson has a valid driver’s license, no active warrants, and nothing criminally wrong with his vehicle according to GCIC/NCIC.

I checked our cameras in the area for Mr. Thompson’s vehicle, and located it in the area of Pooler Parkway/I-95 at approximately 16:53:50 hours. His vehicle was near Pooler Parkway/Isaac G Laroche at approximately 22:04:12 hours. This was approximately 3 minutes after the first 911 call came in. Based on the picture from the camera, his vehicle matched the description of the suspect vehicle (colored a shade of white, two roof caps).

INSURANCE CLAIM FILED BY AUSTIN THOMPSON

Based on his vehicle information in GCIC/NCIC, it showed that he had Progressive Insurance Company (Policy: [REDACTED]). An ISO Claims Search showed that Mr. Thompson made an insurance claim for a crash. The claim was on 12/01/2025. The accident date was listed as 11/30/2025 at 5:00pm. The description of the crash was that his vehicle was parked, and it was unknown who struck the vehicle.

INTERVIEW WITH [REDACTED] (PROGRESSIVE)

I called Progressive, and they were able to give me the information to the claims adjuster assigned to the claim. I spoke to Mr. [REDACTED] (Progressive Claims Adjuster) over the phone [REDACTED]. My body-worn camera was on during this interaction. I advised him of my investigation into the hit and run and advised him of the fraudulent claim (Claim #25838917317) that Mr. Thompson filed. He advised he had pictures, and the damage was to the front bumper. I asked him if I could get damage photos, but he advised he could not give them to me.

PHONE INTERVIEW

I called Mr. Thompson over the phone and spoke to him briefly. I activated my body-worn camera during the phone call. He advised somebody struck his car while he was shopping. I asked him where he would have been on the night of the crash. He advised he got home around 5pm that day, and did not leave for the rest of the night. He then asked if I said the 30th, to which I advised him that I said the 29th. He advised he was not at Frames N Games the night of the crash. I asked him when was the last time he went to Frames N Games. He advised it was approximately three weeks ago. He did mention he had a girlfriend named [REDACTED]. I asked him when he could come in, and he advised he could on 12/6/2025.

FOLLOW UP CALL WITH MR THOMPSON (12/6/2025)

I called Mr. Thompson and asked if he was still coming to the police department. He advised that his lawyer told him to not answer any questions. I told him that I will be seeking warrants for his arrest.

MAJOR ELEMENTS OF NOTE FOR HIT AND RUN

1) Vehicle was seen in the area of Pooler Parkway/Isaac G Laroche three minutes after crash
2) Gets into the Ford F-150, and is on camera crashing into vehicle
3) Thompson 6 shirt
4) Entered into vehicle with [REDACTED] (girlfriend)
5) Victim identifies a white Ford F-150 as the suspect vehicle
6) Insurance claim made for the damage on the front of his vehicle

ELEMENTS FOR DUI

1) Consumption of alcoholic beverages
2) Caused a crash from not yielding
3) Left the scene after the crash occurred

WARRANTS (12/5/2025)

I determined Mr. Thompson was the at fault party in this crash. He did not immediately stop at the scene, and exchange the pertinent information to the other party which is in violation of O.C.G.A 40-6-270 (Hit and Run). Based on the my training and experience, his consumption of alcoholic beverages, him crashing into another vehicle (AT FAULT), and then leaving the scene of the crash, I determined Mr. Thompson was intoxicated to the extent where he was LESS SAFE to drive on the night of the crash. I determined he committed the following offenses:

1) DUI ALCOHOL LESS SAFE (O.C.G.A 40-6-391)
2) FAILURE TO YIELD WHEN ENTERING ROADWAY (O.C.G.A 40-6-73)
3) LEAVING THE SCENE OF ACCIDENT (O.C.G.A 40-6-270)
4) FAILURE TO REPORT ACCIDENT (O.C.G.A 40-6-273)

I had Pooler Judge R. Gnann sign the warrants for the listed offenses.

CONCLUSION

I was able to successfully obtain footage from Royal Cinemas. I am in the process of getting all footage from Frames N Games, and will add a supplemental report. The warrants will be entered into GCIC/NCIC by our front office.
